The Village Geek — Local services in McPherson

The Village Geek prioritizes building community through games (it's their slogan) and they do an excellent job of just that. They have communities that gather for various games every night of the week. Those communities were built by the local gamers from the ground up and they are always welcoming to new players as well as veteran players. The store inventory is diverse and well-managed. If you don't see something in stock then the chances are high they can special order it for you and have it in most of the time within a week. This is the store where I learned to play Magic and it has been a wonderful place for me to learn the game and make all of the friends I have in McPherson...

I LOVE this place. Great atmosphere. I can’t express how much I love the look of brick. (This sounds a bit sarcastic but I’m not lying) I’ve met a lot of great people here and I haven’t ever had a bad experience. I think some things in the store might be… a bit expensive (I’ve checked other stores and they are the same price, so… it is well… reasonably priced) but they have a TON of sales and free events. Check this place out the next time you come into town, a great place for ANYBODY who likes board games...

Great people, great atmosphere and overall a fun time to get your inner nerd on. I just started playing magic the gathering and the workers were very helpful with any questions I had and on giving good deals for the cards, as well as the community being very forward to help new people! Also I've found this hobby to be very cheap, so if your looking for something to get into that doesnt cost a pretty penny I would highly recommend this store to...
