I recently visited Haste Urban Hair Spa for their Scalp Experience, and I can confidently say it was a 10/10 experience from start to finish.
From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the salon’s aesthetically pleasing and welcoming atmosphere. The space is beautifully designed, creating a relaxing and inviting environment that immediately sets the tone for a luxurious experience.
The service itself was exceptional. My stylist, Tatiane, was highly knowledgeable and attentive, taking the time to assess my scalp’s needs and tailor the treatment using Davines hair care products. My scalp was treated with a variety of shampoos, treatments, and nourishing products, all chosen for my hair type and concerns. The scalp massage was incredibly soothing, making it the perfect way to unwind and get pampered.
Beyond the treatment itself, Tatiane’s warm energy and professionalism made me feel completely comfortable and well taken care of. You can tell that the staff care about scalp health and hair wellness, making sure you leave feeling your best!
The combination of expert care, high-quality products, and a serene atmosphere makes Haste Urban Hair Spa a must-visit. I left feeling pampered, relaxed, and with my scalp feeling better than ever! If you’re looking to invest in scalp health and self-care, I highly recommend this service. Thank you Tatiane, you...
Read moreFirst of all, don't confuse this for a full-service salon. I, unfortunately, made that mistake. It's primarily a blow-out salon.
That being said, I'd like to give five stars to the young man who prepped and shampooed my hair. And three stars to my stylist himself. They were both super sweet and attentive to me as their customer. And I believe my stylist really tried to deliver on what I asked for. However, there was a communication barrier that we just couldn't seem to work through, despite my showing him multiple pictures and explaining what I wanted. My main issue is with the owner herself, and her apparent lack of consideration in dealing with the client.
When my stylist made it clear he didn't understand what I wanted, he at least attempted to seek clarification through consulting his colleagues, which I respect and appreciate, but the owner herself couldn't have seemed less interested in trying to rectify the situation. She barely assessed my hair or listened to my concerns when I tried to explain to her that, with my hair texture, I required more layers cut into my hair. She simply interpreted what her stylist struggled to tell me and disregarded my concerns.
As a result, I left with a choppy haircut with "I'd like to speak with your manager" vibes, and, despite the kindness of my stylist, I won't give this place...
Read morePros: Very friendly staff, cute space, tasty coffee Cons: My haircut isn't that great. I have a LOT of hair, which means unless you remove volume, it gets really poofy. I've given it more time to settle since my appointment, so to speak, but it's just, really poofy. Most of my cut was straight-across, leaving me with a lot of same-length hair, when I wanted more sculpting and layers (pretty much an exact repeat of my last haircut, from a stylist in a different city.) I'm used to my stylist taking about an hour for the actual cutting process, and to continue cutting once my hair is dry, but at this salon, it didn't feel like a lot of time or care was taken. I asked for a face frame, but was told this would make me look like an old lady -- although I had a face frame from my last cut (ala a wolf cut), which looked great. It's just a bummer spending roughly $100 of my limited budget and being left with something that's just okay.
Edit: Removing a star, because I noticed that the two chunks of hair on either side of my face are noticeably different lengths (like about an inch). This isn't a matter of miscommunication or anything -- I hate to say it, but it's just a really unskilled hair cut. If money wasn't so tight, I would be going to a different salon to get...
