KC was great. She was super responsive to emails and very patient. We had a lot of questions, but she was an always very poised and professional. KC wasnāt there the vast majority of my wedding day. She introduced me to a manager and left for the day and thatās when everything started going downhill. We were told we would have 2 bartenders. We only had 1 They created a bar menu for us with our wedding date that stated 7.17.23. We got married in June⦠We had quite a few no shows to our wedding. (More than 10) However, they still for some reason ran out of food⦠A part of me is actually relieved we had no shows because I would have been mortified if those people came and we had nothing to serve them. We ran out of salad and steak. Iām the bride and I wasnāt able to have any salad at my own wedding. The vast majority of our guest didnāt get any either. Iām not sure why they didnāt make more. Part of the reason why we chose to have our wedding at Grand Manor was so the catering company could make more food if they needed to on site, but clearly thatās not what happened. Iām honestly confused why we ran out of food when we had so many no shows Our menu was supposed to include vegetable in ragu sauce. I was so excited for it because it was so good at our tasting. We didnāt get that. They substituted it with other vegetables instead and we were not informed The staff was rude. The African American young man was great but I donāt have much kind words for the other staff. We had a buffet style wedding but my mom decided to go in line and get a plate for my dad. She then returned to the line and got a plate for my uncle. When she finally got in line for herself a staff member said to her āHow many plates are you going to get?ā This is completely uncalled for. Wedding guests especially the MOTHER of the bride should be allowed 100 plates as long as thereās food available Due to the weather, I had to have my ceremony inside⦠This is also debatable because by the time my ceremony starts time came it had already stopped raining but I guess they didnāt want to dry the seats out there. Anyway, the manager was pressuring me to have my ceremony inside the ballroom. This was problematic for two reasons⦠(1) I absolutely did not want that (this should be enough imo and (2) my ballroom wasnāt even ready yet. I had to insist on using the room with the bar for my ceremony. It couldnāt fit all of my guests, they placed as many chairs in there as they could, and the rest was standing room, which was completely fine to me We requested a local beer as one of our options for the bar. This was something else they didnāt deliver on I did not want the ballroom open to guests until after a certain time during cocktail hour. My day of coordinator knew that and I had let KC know that previously. When I told the manager that she said ābut thatās where cocktail hour isā I feel like this staff member might need extra training that itās whatever the bride and groom wantā¦. We paid extra for a fruit and cheese platter. Iām not sure where the location was but a lot of our guest completely missed this and a lot of it was wasted. I feel like they shouldāve did a better job letting our guests know that was something else available to them during cocktail hour The same staff member above, whenever something happened that shouldnāt have⦠she would just say āoh well, these things happenā¦ā Iām not sure how this is an acceptable answerā¦. We should get what we paid for Our package supposedly included uplighting but we didnāt get it. During the reception when we asked the staff about our uplighting they just looked at us confused and walked away We left our ring certificates of authenticity at the venue. KC tried to find it the Monday after but by that point it was too late. The cleaning staff had already thrown it out along with the ring boxes. I guess Tiffany blue boxes mean nothing to them
My husband and I both agree if we had to do it all over again we would spend the extra money and get...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I couldn't have imagined a more perfect day or venue for our wedding.
We first inquired and met with KC about 12 months before our planned wedding date. We fell in love with the venue immediately and put our deposit down.
Throughout the year of planning, KC, Rosie, and the entire Grand Manor staff were kind, helpful, and a genuine joy to work with.
About 6 months before our wedding day, we went in for two separate dinner tastings. Everything was delicious, and the Asado Grill staff were also a pleasure to chat with.
30 days prior to our big day, KC helped us pick our ballroom and table dƩcor. Then, two weeks before the wedding, we finalized all the little details with her (# of guests, final payments, menu, seating charts, etc).
At long last, our wedding had arrived on November 4th, 2023. There was a very sweet card from KC waiting for us at the venue wishing us well on the big day.
A top 5 moment of the day, however, was when my husband and I were sitting in the groomsmen getting-ready room before our cocktail hour. Sonia from the catering and event staff introduced herself and brought us two full trays of appetizers, along with some drinks. This was such a special moment for us, as we could eat together in silence and peace before greeting all our guests. This also gave us time to actually talk to everyone once cocktail hour began. Since we were able to greet, thank, and catch up with everyone at cocktail hour, we didn't have to go around to each table during dinner. So, YES - we both ate a full plate of dinner (and actually got too full to finish) at our own wedding. Sonia came back during dinner to box our leftovers and pour us champagne.
We are already daydreaming about hosting our milestone anniversaries here. Thank you, Grand Manor, for a seamless and perfect experience from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had our wedding at Grand Manor in January and I couldnāt be more happy about it! KC was so helpful and informative. She was quick to respond to my many emails with lots of questions and was always super informative with her responses. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous from the ballroom inside to the ceremony garden outside. And the bridal suites were super convenient to get ready in before hand and to have a space to escape for a quick breath throughout the night. And the food! Omg the food! It was so good. We had so many guests tell us it was the best wedding food theyāve ever had. The cake wasnāt a huge deal to us but I sent Cynthia a few inspiration pics and she didnāt disappoint! It turned out so beautiful. Unfortunately Floridaās weather didnāt cooperate and our ceremony had to be moved into the ballroom but the staff did such a good job in the last hour before the ceremony rearranging it to make it seem as if it was planned that way. I was a little disappointed it couldnāt be outside but knowing the ballroom was a back up plan was so relieving. There was one lady working that evening and I totally forgot to get her name but she will forever hold a special place in my heart. She went out of her way multiple times throughout the evening to make sure that I was okay and didnāt need anything. And at the end of the evening right before we left she made sure she found me and personally handed me a bag with boxes of food for my husband and I to have when we got home and told me how beautiful the wedding was and gave us all the well wishes for a happy life. If I could do it all again I would definitely book with Grand...
