Southern Caramel — Local services in Melbourne

Amazing company, amazing caramels, amazing customer service. Honestly, I can’t say enough positive things about this company. I ordered from them online, and having tried other online caramel companies, I can assure you that Southern Caramel has them beat in quality, flavor, pricing, honesty. Customer satisfaction seems to be their #1 priority (or maybe a close second to providing amazing quality caramels).

Even though (or maybe because) I had a question with my order, this was a very pleasant shopping experience, especially compared to my recent order from Caramels.com (Caramels.com turned out to be a very untrustworthy company whose products bear almost no resemblance to the online descriptions and photos, only post the positive reviews submitted about their products, and engage in gaslighting when you bring it to their attention (that was Caramels.com not Southern Caramel!))

I’m so glad I found Southern Caramel and that they ship out of state, and extra grateful that they proved to me that there ARE still honest and reputable companies that provide outstanding products while caring about customer satisfaction. And their chocolate strawberry caramels are chef’s kiss!

Wonderful caramels! We are new to Melbourne and went to the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival early November. Southern Caramel had a booth. The caramels are bite size, chewy, with a variety of flavors. They were so good, I asked if they had a shop in town. Yes! A few days later we went to the SC store and were pleased there were samples for the entire line. We bought some bags as gifts to take on our upcoming trip. Sarah and Jill are lovely people, helpful and engaging. We always send food items for Christmas, so this year I am ordering several varieties of Southern Caramel to send to all our family and friends. Shipping is reasonable too. I'm going to sprinkle them in our Christmas stockings instead of putting in the usual candy. You won't be disappointed in Southern Caramel. Excellent product,...

Though one of the most responsive companies I have ever dealt with, I am giving a single star for the product.

Not pure ingredients. Their "heavy cream" has only skim milk with carrageenan to thicken it with polysorbate 80 to emulsify these non cream ingredients. And mono and di glycerides. No cream listed under their heavy cream ingredients. This was on the packaging label.Their website does not have a full list of ingredients, and there are no returns. Buyer Beware!!!!!
