The Lakes — Local services in Menifee

Nothing much to do here as far as events, sports or fun activities. You can go fish (at your own risk), go jogging, ride your bike, push a stroller, walk your dog. In summertime you can rent push pedals boats, swim in the pool, they have a band playing every blue moon.. The people running the lakes committee got stuck in the 70's.. they have no clue about organizing activities for the young population. This woman in the board, Melanie is so miserable! All she does its badmouth residents, get "security" to pick on teenagers and kick them out of the lawn for no legitimate reason. I guess "laughter" its a "crime" for her. At the same time -the culvert its full of drug addicts and drifters at night. The committee knows it and keeps quiet about it to not damage the lakes public image... placing ppl's safety at risk by...

This place is beyond the worst of HOA living. The board gets nothing done but will accuse you of having weeds when your home has none (I have photographic evidence that my home had no weeds). You pay an ever growing fee for their “security” which is only in place to ensure that you the home owner have to register your car on a waste of time app while they freely let solicitors come to your door. Beautiful and affordable place to live, and the lake view is so pleasant, especially with the mountains in the background. The only disappointment is that sometimes schoolchildren cut through the footpath sometimes school children cut through the foot pass by the lake, and they just throw their garbage on the sidewalk...
