It was the worse haircut I've ever had and I am someone who is very interested and caring about the hair, I called up and ask if it's okay to do walk ins and I got the all clear that it would be fine waited a bit of time only for my barber not to speak any English and when asking for a skin fade and a tiny cut on top, he said " of course" well it sounded like that. I ended up getting a fauxmohawk which was awful as I don't style my hair that way which led to me having bit of hair sticking out from borh sides of my hair making me look like a peacock, I could not see myself in the mirror to see what the barber was doing, he did not ask me if the length to cut on top was okay he just straight away did it! I then came home and saw how bad the haircut was and got my friend to fix it as he owned a hair trimmer and he did a better job than the guy I got! $45 dollars is outrageous for the hair cut I got given! Do not come here as...
Read moreI was in dire need of a hair cut on a Sunday evening but knowing it was a long shot, I called Menlo Park Barber Shop to see if they could fit me in. Despite the super late notice, JR took me in for the last minute appointment. The hair cut was awesome, service was great, and obviously very accommodating. I have now gone back from my second hair cut there with JR and the whole experience was great. Communicating with JR was easy and when I showed up there wasn't a wait. JR and Menlo Barber Shop have won my business and I don't plan on going anywhere else for a hair cut moving forward. Although I've only received a hair cut from JR, when I went in for my second hair cut the place was full, everyone was smiling, and laughing, and it just seemed like everyone was having a great time. It was also great to see a wide variety of clients ranging from 10-year kids to older adults/parents. Definitely a...
Read moreI have three children, and you wouldn't believe how hard it is to get them a good haircut -- especially for my son. I've lost count of how many times we've had to cut his hair down to the nub because of a "professional" haircut gone awry (or, ahem, a home cut gone awry). Although we live in San Francisco, my mother lives down in the South Bay, so we're down there a lot. One day we just happened upon Ray, one of the barbers at Menlo Park Barber Shop. The haircut was so desperately cute that I cannot bear to have anyone but Ray cut my son's hair. We now drive all the way from San Francisco to get his hair cut (even when not visiting mom!). Although it might be a little more expensive than your standard kids cut, it is well, well worth it. So, to all you mothers out there: Give Menlo Park Barber Shop a try. You won't be...
