The two senior staff on duty, Shanice // ? (Refused to provide name) were absolutely horrible and rude.
It was a hot day in the bay area literally 87°F as I was stopping there on a run to escape from the heat. I’m 43 minutes in and coming up Alameda de Las Pulgas. I stopped at the Starbucks, not trying to just mooch and get free water and be that guy. I also bought a pumpkin loaf. I didn’t have them heat it up. I wanted to just be in and out get my water, chomp down my loaf and go back to my run. I paid the $3.49 and then leave a one dollar tip my biggest mistake.
I’m standing there with only three other customers waiting and this poor girl Dalia is working hard, making drink after drink doing everything herself while the other two staff (Shanice being one) proceed to take breaks. One of the two employees was even standing behind the counter with AirPods in an iPad in one hand and the phone in another, I couldn’t believe it I couldn’t believe my eyes. I walked in and left a tip and the cashier saw I was visibly sweating. I’m standing in front of the door by the A/C visibly dripping sweat and I could not believe the disregard for not just me, but the other customers while one barista fulfilled a mobile order. I had to wait seven minutes Before I got a cup of water I will actively avoid Starbucks, and encourage my friends, family and peers to do the same based on my experience and service here. Read moreI’ve grown to expect a certain atmosphere and customer service experience when I go to a Starbucks and generally equate it as a reliable chain but this particular location is a real mess. I attended on a Tuesday afternoon around 2. I waited at the cash register to be helped for five minutes while two baristas talked to each other and the cashier was held up at the toaster oven. Customer service was non existent. Yes, the tea I purchased was as expected.. but the counters and floor were really dirty (had the urge to sanitize as soon as I left the place!) When I used the restroom, it was filthy. The floors and ground near the toilet were covered with hair and layered dust that gave me the impression it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. No soap at sink. Read moreI order a venti coffee from this location nearly daily with mobile ordering. I order it in advance knowing they're busy and it will take time but honestly, it's just a drip coffee. Nine times out of ten, I'll arrive and I'll see my coffee sitting on a back counter next to the machines, no lid, growing cold, and no one paying attention to it. Even after ordering in advance I'll sometimes wait another five-ten minutes for it. I don't want to be rude and ask them to attend to it but why is it sitting there?
