Need to train the staff better. Yesterday, I brought a recalled air compressor in for a refund as instructed on the Advanced web site. Was told by Al, the GM, that he did not know how to do the transaction but would call corporate and call me today. Never heard from him so I went back to Store 5213 and Kevin explained that Al had left for the day and I'd have to come back for a third day. I called the costumer service number and explained the issue. Shane said he would call the store and explain how to issue the refund. I went back in and told Kevin that Shane would be calling. He said it would not matter because he wasn't allowed to do recall refunds and he had no way of knowing if I had even bought the compressor at Advance Auto. After speaking with Shane, Kevin was able to do it but said he could only issue a store credit. Sold me an item that can catch fire (per the recall) and won't refund me the money paid. Read moreIts was poor.customer service by one of the associate named Chris I purchased some break pads online as an emergency because the one on the car were really extremely bad and dangerous to to drive and I got them there and my husband aent back to exchange them cause I got the wrong ones and sence he say I made the payment online he could take them there or exchange them, then he came out saying that he would take them but not exchange them that he had to buy the new pads and the money from those were getting put back in the card but not once asked if he can check to see what he can do or be nice about the hole situation if I didn't have the spare just 32.00 bucks like he said oh there only 32.00 bucks then I couldn't get the new brakes and had to wait for the money to go back on my card it could have ost one of our lifes or anyone else if I couldn't get the car to stop so honestly they should give an update to there associate customer service skills please cause that makes the store...

He should have stayed home since the weather is ridiculously cold. It’s not what you say to a customer it’s how it said. He advised that he was not going outside to install a battery as the weather is ridiculously cold. He should have stayed home. He said it in a rude and cold manner as cold as the weather is. Poor customer service appears to be a staple for this company and the disrespect customers have to endure. This gentleman didn’t even extend the common courtesy of a greeting. Nor did he advise that he wasn’t doing any installation prior to me asking. Inform customers immediately when they are asking about a product that you won’t be able to do installation.
