New Jade Garden — Restaurant in Meriden

Woman who answers the phone has been extremely rude every time I’ve ordered from there. Tonight she suddenly decides that it costs an extra dollar (on top of the delivery fee they already charge and their “convenience fee” for allowing you to order) to deliver to my address. I told her that I didn’t want the order if they were going to keep adding charges. She said they were already making it and that she would do it this time but “if I don’t like it don’t call them next time I want food” (no worries, I wasn’t planning on it) I then wait an hour and still no food so I call again. After yelling at me that she’s been trying to call me (she has not) she then informs me that she cancelled the order and hangs up on me. When I called back and asked where my money was since she had already charged my card, she told me she already put it back and I could drive there to see that she did. Sadly this place has gone far downhill in service, taste and quality. Ordered the lunch special of garlic chicken which is also labeled spicy. Comes with pork fried rice and pork egg roll. The few pieces of chicken were varied in size and thickness and mushy. The dish consists mostly of the rice which no pork has never been near and hard, nearly raw, big veggies. The brown goop had zero flavor much less garlic or spice. The egg roll is skimpy on the cabbage only filling, greasy and again tasteless. Asked for mustard pks and was told they were in the bag. food was ok for a while. then got worse.. ordered 3 orders of boneless ribs and pork fried rice. ribs were very undercooked. no one felt safe eating them. called restaurant and they got upset like it was our fault ribs werent cooked right, got attitude from woman that answers the phone. if you pick your food up at the restaurant make sure you check it before you leave. rice often hard and not much flavor. used to order from here all the time, wont be anymore considering how they responded to...
