Absolutely the worst experience getting my first pair of glasses. The glasses I ordered were supposed to be readers. Employee ordered progressives. I pointed out the mistake when I picked up the glasses and I was told to try them out for a few days and if I wanted to exchange them I had a 30 day guarantee. Went back in 3 days later because I could not see unless I looked STRAIGHT down. Keep in mind this was my first pair of glasses and I didn’t know from the start that was not normal. I went back in after having them only 3 days and an different employee in store remeasured my face and said the ones I had were cut incorrectly or the person who helped me I initially measured wrong and so she ordered new lenses. I agree to try progressive lenses that were cut accurately. I was told no more than 7-10 days but since they weren’t done correctly the first time and they were only lenses it shouldn’t take that long, I would be pushed to the front for their mistake. I’m now TWO days past the promised date (we are on day 12) and I’ve called to inquire about them and was told both times that the manager left early for the day and is the only one who can cut lenses but they will try their best have them for me tomorrow. This is what I was told yesterday as well. Absolutely absurd. I was left on hold for 10 minutes plus for them to tell me once again, no glasses. I also requested a copy of the receipt I asked be emailed to me from the second visit. I was told they can’t email once a transaction has been completed. Keep in mind - I’m still not certain I want progressive lenses as I was initially told by the doctor I would be fine just getting readers. So if I don’t like these lenses, I’ll have to go through all of this again?!?! I will never be back, nor will either of my daughters or my husband after this and the way I’ve been treated. Hoping I get the glasses tomorrow or I’ll be asking for a full refund and going elsewhere.
Update - my husband called again today midway through their work day and was told the glasses again could not be ready for another day. He requested a refund and was told it would be processed right away. Since I didn’t give permission for them to speak to my husband, or did he ever give his name….I'm pretty sure this violates HIPPA all over the place. I am traveling from out of state. I unfortunately ripped my right contact lens this morning. I went to this lenscrafters location at the meridian mall. I was "greeted" by the store manager, Lexi, who was very rude from the second I walked in. I explained my issue and asked if I could get a replacement lens, even offering to pay for one. I have to drive to Detroit tonorrow and am worried because I can't see. Lexi cut me off numerous times telling me she doesn't have any in stock and the ones she does are for customers only. She didn't even check to see what was in stock. She became very aggressive and told me to leave the store immediately and was calling security all because I asked her if she could at least just check and see. Now I have to pay for an eye exam at another location to get one contact lens. I have never in my life been treated as poorly and with as much aggression as Lexi treated me with today. Dr Kody listened and started from square one and encouraged me she'd get me seeing comfortable and she did!! She was patient and understanding! When my contacts got lost in the mail I could have been upset not being able to see again but Amiya made sure the local store closer to my work put some trials aside so I didn't have to drive so far or wait until the weekend and she reordered my contacts AND CALLED to follow up!! This team is friendly and makes sure you are comfortable and taken care of!!
