Salvation Army Thrift Store — Local services in Meridian

I had furniture and several lawn bags and huge boxes of clothes , shoes, electric appliances, toys etc etc. My garage was full of donations waiting to be picked up by SA. Michelle had arranged for the pickup to be on the day that I had requested but then one of her donation pickup staff was injured and couldn’t work…long story short, she kept in touch with me by phone to assure me that she was working on making the pickup happen and she did! She got her husband to fill in for the injured employee and he and the driver of their truck were here on the day I requested! She was very nice to me and she seemed to take her job seriously and in support of an organization that helps those in need. So what if she monitors the store to prevent theft! I’m sure she has reason to do so. And whatever the prices the money goes toward helping people who may have lost everything in a fire or natural disaster. When you go there to shop just keep in mind it is a Thrift store and many of the items are top brands and may seem a bit on the high side but try buying them new and you will see the bargain you’re getting. Terrible. This is not a way to run a thrift store. I'm a thrift store connoisseur and go to many in my travels as a hotshot driver and this ranks near the bottom. Extremely disorganized. T-shirts are mixed in with collared dress shirts. Pants are mixed also. I dont have much patience for store's in this condition. I simply dont have the time. Its obvious they do not have a professional manager at this location. By all means pass this time waster up....

I will never go back in that store as long as Michelle is there and running it. She's tooth faced and if your not her people she watches you like your really going to steal something out of there. And she prices that stuff to high for all that mess to be donations. They are robbing ppl blind in that store. All due to them wanting to make $800 a day, so that's why they over charging people.
