La Pinata — Restaurant in Meridian

Not going dining here again. There was a hair in my food among other things that were wrong with this place. First we had to wait quiet a while just to get our drinks food didnt take long after we ordered but i had to explain to waitress to bring foam cup to a 3 yr old and not a regular cup followed by i needed to ask for spoon for same child then waitress waa no where to be found to ask for ketchup so none of the 3 people who ordered fries as side ate them sweat tea's lemon had seeds which had fallen into the drink and food we ordered looked nothing like what we ordered and my pork was supposed to be shredded and they brought me vig chunks with mostly fat on them but all of that i would've looked passed it until i found a long curly hair in my food yet more alarming when i called the manager he said those things just happens he waa sorry but that waa normal i told him I wasn't mad but i wanted to hear what he was going to do to avoid this happening to someone else and again all he saud is these things happen they offered a discount or another free meal i said no we still paid for our food and tip the waitress none of it was her fault but i was concerned about the lack of importance they had i visit different hotela and restaurants in the area ones i like i not only continue to frequent them but recommend this one however and i am sorry but i dont recommend this place plus parking spot we have to move our vehicle after parking bc people outside wandering around the parking lot checking cars out however they were polite for what is worth before finding the hair the food waa not great but not bad either thats just...

I’m not exactly sure why this restaurant has a 4.4-star review, because it is definitely 5.5-level in my honest opinion.

The food is always exactly as ordered on the menu. The food is always hot upon delivery to the table. The facility is always clean. The staff are family-oriented, probably because they have families of their own and understand. They’re patient and don’t get flustered with alterations in orders.

We’ve ate when they were busy and didn’t have to wait long for our food. In fact, the staff act as a team, pitching in to help each other and making sure customers are attended to promptly.

I would have to say that Miguel is my favorite waiter, but then I’ve interacted with him and his brother during my visits there for years. Nonetheless, I must compliment the entire staff, including the ladies and gentlemen who seat patrons on arrival and leave chips and salsa while you look over their extensive menu.

As a lifelong Meridian resident who has patronized every Hispanic/Mexican restaurant in town, I must say this restaurant is by far the best. Whether you do dine-in or carry-out, I highly recommend. They’re also fantastic for groups...

I have been a patron, along with my wife and son for over 13 years. It has been my experience that as long as the main manager is present, the food, as well as the service is second to none. However, in his absence, the entire experience is at the opposite end of the spectrum. We dined there tonight, and it took the waiter 15 minutes to initially acknowledge our presence. After bringing us our meal, we'd run out of tea, and it took the waiter an additional 23 minutes to refill them. This was ONLY AFTER we asked another waiter for assistance, due to the fact that our waiter had apparently been abducted, because he was nowhere to be found. Had the G.M. been present, none of this would have happened. Therefore, my suggestion to the general public is that if you're planning on dining at this establishment, it would be in your best interest to do so ONLY when the G.M. is working. Otherwise, you are depriving yourself of the phenomenal experience this establishment...
