I went to the shop and got a couple pounds of frozen North Country bacon, one of their steak tips, and bison tips... as well as a few other things. The bison tips marinade was watery but also had a weird flavor, too much vinegar maybe and some odd spices? Not quite sure but it was unfortunately, very off putting. One of the two packages of bacon was rancid... defrosted and ate a few weeks after cooking the bison so left wondering if they gave me bad bison. Steak tips were OK. They sell Market Basket chicken and boast about it...Bell&Evans the same brand of chicken that MB sells in that weird packaging...which is what I buy for my cat food...so I didn't try any of their chicken but they sell their's for $5 more a pound than MB does..possibly because they put it in their weird "house made" marinades. The man behind the counter was ok and somewhat helpful, the girl sat on a chair near the front, looked up from her phone to say hi and went right back to her phone. When she rang us up, she seemed inconvenienced and very fake "nice". Will definitely not...

This business may do some great stuff, but they overshare personal information on social media too much. Example, telling everyone they accidentally put the cash deposit bag in the dumpster and lost it. This kind of thing is unnecessary, don't make people feel bad for your mistake. I commented on their social media and was blocked immediately. This isn't how you do business. Also, now you will never get my business and I will be sure to not tell people to go to your business, it looks bad. Do better and not overshare on social media, poor poor business practices.

To your response. Someone should be able to comment and suggest something to a business. I owned a business for many years and never once posted anything personal, because it is not pertinent to the business. Use your time more wisely. I'd suggest someone with vast social media experience taking over your page, not an emotional wife who overshares. And, I do use my time wisely, thanks. Was just trying to give some...

Old Boys Butcher Shop is AMAZING!!! Dave & Lindsey are incredible people, they provide top quality meats at reasonable prices. Their customer service is fantastic, they get to know their customers by name, love having conversations when you come in, and always happy to answer any questions you have. If you catch Dave when he's not busy, he'll educate you on everything meat related that you're interested in!! Super Knowledgable!! They will do special orders for you if they don't carry something you want. They also carry meats that are harder to find locally like Bisson, Elk, & Rabbit! Dave will even tell you how to cook it... Their homemade meatballs, Roasts, Marinated Tips, Chicken & Duroc Pork are all incredible!! I love that the majority of the non-meat items they carry are from right here in NH, with a couple other products from other New England states. I can't say enough good things about this business and...
