tl;dr Michelle (owner-esthetician) changed my life - was considering invasive procedures - consistent quality facials improved my appearance and self-esteem

New Year’s Eve resolution this year was to get monthly facials for an entire year before considering something more drastic like a face lift. I was feeling old - jowls and wrinkles were starting to be more prominent. I was feeling really insecure about my appearance but didn’t want to go under the knife either because - well it’s my face. I don’t want to look weird either.

I decided that I needed to try some self care first. Not only practicing self love and not being so hard on myself, but indulging in a monthly facial. I used to pamper myself quite frequently, but got out of the habit - especially during my kids’ teenage years where I tended to spend my extra money on them instead.

Now with the kids out of the house, I have free time and extra money. I chose Skin Glo because I had sent both my kids there at various times for help with their acne both experiencing positive results and learning how to take care of their unique skin care needs.

I signed up for the monthly membership and except for the shut down during the pandemic I have gotten a facial + dermaplane every month this year. What a difference in my skin

Amazing! I had an Enzyme Facial with MicroDermabrasion and added an LED treatment. Genevieve was my aesthetician and she is incredibly knowledgeable! She understood my skin needs and my skin dreams.

The last 4-5 months, my skin had been nearly flawless— which was amazing since my skin can be highly reactive (food, water intake, stress— it all shows up on my face), recently, I started experiencing blackheads on my nose, breakouts around my mouth, on the lower cheeks and jaw line area, upper forehead near hair line and between my eye brows. My normal skin regimen wasn’t holding up! My sister has also had a treatment with Genevieve and referred me here to see her.

During the treatment, Genevieve gave me a hand massage (and offered neck massage as well)— this felt amazing and my hands are STILL soft today. The Facial Treatment felt and smelled wonderful! I ended up purchasing the sunscreen she put on my face because it felt so amazing and worked great for my skin type. I’m beyond impressed— I’m encouraged, supported, and empowered in making my skin dreams a reality!

I noticed and felt a shift with dramatic improvement in elasticity, circulation, color, and reduction of inflammation. Today, 22 hours post-facial, and my acne is GONE!

RACISTS!!!!!! If you are a person of color this is NOT the place you want to go. The OWNER MICHELLE IS THE WORST. They judged me from the moment I walked in, making rude comments about people who live in the area!!! The first red flag is MICHELLE STATED SHE DOES NOT HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH ETHNIC SKIN. Then, my card declined because I forgot I locked it to prevent my son from using it virtually that day. I told them ill have it resolved in a moment, i didnt want to use a different card. They instantly made comments under their breathe and RUDELY asked "why did I even come in today". Now, usually I go to a spa like The Scott, OMNI or Palo Verde but I wanted to support my community and stay in the area that day. I was very disappointed and wanted to take my daughter and her friends there for her birthday but we went to a non-racist spa with top quality customer service @TheScott and they had wonderful time there.
