Canseco's Jefferson Market — Local services in Metairie

This place has only been open for a few days and I've already been there three times. We love having a nice grocery in this neighborhood. So far, it's very neat, clean and organized. The staff is very friendly. The variety of available foods is so much better than either of the groceries that previously existed at this location. Can't wait to try the hot prepared food. I'll looks quite tasty! EDIT: Went back today and tried the mushroom soup from their hot food bar. Amazing! I would give them a second five star review if I could. Second Edit: I've now also had their seafood gumbo, tomato basil and loaded baked potato soups. All excellent choices! Their fresh cooked soups are going to be on my lunch list for a long time! Welcome to the neighborhood. I met with Kyle this past Monday morning to discuss the catering items being offered. I decided on a pan of jambalaya along with chicken tenders. I am pleased to say they were both a great choice for my membership at our monthly meeting of The American Legion Post 267. One of the employees at the deli offered to bring my order out to my truck, because the pans were still hot to the touch, I consider that as going the extra step in customer service. Unfortunately, I didn't get the employee's name. Once again welcome to the neighborhood. I will be recommending Canseco's to my family and friends. I am looking forward to my next choice on the menu.
