UPDATE: IF YOU WANT TO GO TO A STORE THAT DOES NOT CARE, HERE IS YOUR WINNER. This location is more worried about closing than it is customer service. They constantly are out of items, I showed up this month and there was absolutely zero dog food anywhere. All dog food was gone shelves were empty. This was the only reason I went to the store. I noticed as I was walking by the lunch meats. The entire wall was empty. Are they closing the store soon? I hope so, and I hope a whole other business comes so they can leave. Anybody who presses customers out at midnight, after being open 24 hours previously. Does not deserve anybody's patronage. People work all hours in Dayton and have to to survive. You're better off going to Costco, or Sam's Club whose prices will be posted properly. You won't have to go to customer service to get your price adjusted for overpayments. Myers is consistently marking one price on the shelf, and charging a dollar more when you get to the register. Check your receipt I guarantee you they got you. There's no excuse for stores running out of inventory. There is lazy employees and management who doesn't give a damn. If you want a winning store this is it, they suck the most out of all the stores I've ever been to the way they treat customers. They act like their machines have to shut down at midnight, and they pressure people to get out of there often people forget what they went for because of it. VOTE WITH YOUR DOLLAR, DO NOT SHOP HERE UNTIL THEY ARE OUT OF BUSINESS AND ANOTHER COMPANY REPLACES THEM. THERE ARE TOO MANY OTHER BUSINESSES WHO DESERVE YOUR DOLLARS. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT ONE OF THEM.
Went to store late about 30 minutes before closing. They were very rude and practically pushing people of the door. They don't want your money, they would rather leave the store at Midnight. Meijer used to be a stand up place to shop. Costco, Sam's, Kroger's, all let the customers shop and just stop letting people in. They announce it, all is good. Myers threatens that if you don't rush to the registers now, you will be shut out of self checkout. And at 11:55, not 12:00, they blocked the self checkout. Myself and another lady couldn't believe how hell bent they were to get out of there. Especially when they used to be open all night long. This is what our new workforce has come to, bringing Meijer to the lowest levels I've ever seen them. From now on I will wait for Sam's Club to open in the morning, and Costco. Even though it is a little bit further out. I would rather shop where people are willing to steal my money at the rates today, rather than hurry up and run home so they can stop making money. Parking lot looks like hell, there's barely any employees to give you help in Myers. And normally only one register plus self-checkout. I'm not going to give my money to them anymore.
Update: Still trouble at this store trying to focus on closing, more than they are focused on customer service. A manager and an employee stood and talked while the registers were full of people. They close down the self checkout earlier every time I go there. Then they rush everyone out of store, only to get hung up because only two registers are ringing. Of course Uncle Joe's coupons aren't working holding up the line. I spoke to the manager about what he could be doing to help. He said we close at 12:00. I said it is 12:10 and your line is stuck with Uncle Joe. I asked him why they close down the self-serve registers before everyone is checking out. He said they close at midnight. But I say that is because you're setting them up to close at midnight. That is optional you know. Your corporate HQ, could resolve that matter. They seem to be more worried about going home like good millennials. They are constantly ringing up prices wrong, then that holds up everyone behind that customer. I never understood why they have 25 registers, and only 2 employees. Don't waste your time here. Miamisburg Kroger is new and far better, or The new one by Costco on Feedwire Rd.. Both have better prices, and superior...
Read moreI am writing to formally file a complaint regarding an incident that occurred at your West Carrollton, Ohio location (Store #103) on August 18 at approximately 1:15 PM. The situation involved an employee
During my visit, I chose to leave several store coupons behind after completing my purchase so that another customer could benefit from them. This is something I occasionally do as a goodwill gesture. Shortly after, I witnessed The employee take the coupons I had left, rip them up, and throw them away. While staring at us.
At no point did she ask whether I had intentionally left them behind or if I had simply forgotten them. She had no way of knowing my intent, and destroying them without clarification was unnecessary and inappropriate.
I immediately spoke with a store manager about the issue, who confirmed that it is not company policy to rip up coupons in this manner. The manager apologized, but when I later addressed her response was dismissive. She claimed, “That’s what I was trained to do by the ATC (Automated Training Center/computer system),” which directly contradicts what the manager told me.
Beyond this incident, there are ongoing issues with her conduct that I feel also need to be addressed: Condescending Behavior: your employee consistently addresses me with the phrase “OK, friend” in a condescending tone. I have asked her not to do this, yet she continues. Violation of Boundaries: I live with bipolar disorder, PTSD, and anxiety, and her habit of walking up on me as soon as I enter the checkout lane worsens my mental health symptoms. I have made it clear that if I need assistance, I will ask for it — but I expect my boundaries to be respected. Unprofessional Conduct on Social Media: After I posted anonymously on social media about my experience at the store, your employee publicly commented on my post, writing: “There’s always more to this story 😊.” By doing this, she disclosed that she was the employee involved — something I would not have known otherwise. I believe this violates store policy regarding professionalism and privacy.
Your store constantly follow people around with their secret shoppers acting like everyone or thieves, and you have other employees that do...
Read moreBUYERS BEWARE!!!! It's gotten to the point that literally EVERY TIME my fiance and I visit this particular location we find EXPIRED PRODUCTS during our shopping, particularly in the dairy section.
The last 2 times alone we found Chobani Zero Sugar yogurt drinks that had been expired since October 2023 (it's January 2024 ffs). Before that, we returned home to find other solid yogurts that were past their expiration dates. We've also found other products like cheese in the deli area and Bolthouse Farms dressings in the produce section that were MONTHS past expired so it's not just a single department issue.
I literally won't even do curbside pick up from this store because it's so bad.
Whoever is managing this store needs to learn and train their employees about FIFO (first in, first out) and take better care at inspecting/culling inventory.
TO THE STORE: PLEASE get someone on top of this before someone seriously gets sick and to help prevent people from spending their money on stuff they have to throw out when they get home. I know there's lower income and elderly people that shop here and it breaks my heart to think someone's grandma limited to a strict monthly stipend is buying expired products that she may not be able to afford or physically able to travel back to the store to replace. That's actually sickening. And it's really frustrating that a CUSTOMER has to bring this to someone's attention, on top of it being such a...
