I started Pilates during the pandemic after my husband's spinal surgeon recommended it as a great segue back to exercise after a major neck surgery. Little did I know that my encouragement for him would introduce me to the first and only exercise I have ever truly loved. Before Transition Pilates I despised exercise of any kind. Being naturally thin, I didn't feel the need but I was also reaching my 40's and I was beginning to feel sluggish and unhealthy. After our first private lesson with Rachel, the owner, I was instantly hooked. Not only on Pilates but with Rachel's enthusiasm for her craft. I have now been working with Rachel 3 times a week, for over a year and I am still just as excited to attend her classes as the day I began. I feel younger and leaner and mentally stronger than I have ever felt in my life. My posture has improved immensely and I have to say my butt looks like I'm 20 again!! Unfortunately I’ve moved away form miami, but when I’m in town i always sign up for a session. Not only is she an amazing teacher, she’s become an amazing friend. I have never felt stronger and more confident in myself. Ever since she has known me, I’ve had a handful of injuries which she always ensures me I can still move safely while avoiding any hurt or worse injuries. Yes, that’s what I said, and it was the best decision ever! Hands down Rachel is the reason I had such a great third trimester and delivery. Her one on one attention to what you need is amazing.
