H Mart Levittown — Local services in Middletown Township

Low rating cause the staff in this store was rude last time I went. I will give an honest review but am lowering my stars just for rudeness alone. It doesn't cost money or time to be polite. I drove far to buy one thing here. I tried to ask a question and they either didnt speak English or rude or both. The store smells bad of fish sometimes and the food is not always clearly labeled. This is partly why I need to ask questions. They have a store in Elkins Park which is bigger and nicer. Theu will notnlet.you shop here if you have a .edical condition inwhich you cannot wear a face mask. You cannot wear a face shield. This exceeds the state mandate but I guess they can male their own rules. The rules were contradicted on the website.

Pros: sometimes nice exotic fruit, but not consistent, lots of tofu types and greens, produce not always consistent in quality and availability, always lots of plantains that are very high quality, lots of seaweed, not always labeled well, good prices for rice and grains, lots of healing teas. Sometimes have great sale prices. They have interesting kitchen supplies, a bit pricey but broke easily. They also have good soft toothbrushes that are better than even onesto clean teeth and cheaper. Bathroom is a storage room. Dated so hard to tell if store and bathroom are clean or just old. You can eat there but hard to find out what ingredients are, labels not clear. Cramped store, small aisles get me trapped, checkout is cramped and always lines.

Cons: Too strict on the mask policy and not following the guidelines for mask policy on their company website. Mandate was lifted, face shields and vaccines are not enough, but unlike other stores they won't give you a mask if you don't have one. So if you have a respiratory disease and try to shop here too bad, go home. If the store was immaculate, I would understand being so obsessed with masks. Disinfect your store if your worried about germs. Plus faceshields are better than masks. But the store is disorganized and outdated. The price of rice cakes which I came to get were high and the fruit selection wasn't as good as it has been but perhaps this problem is seasonal. Don't have sale flyers posted. Sale prices difficult to read on shelf talkers. Product...

Horrible service and the old lady manager!!! Went to pick up a bag of rice today, a big pile of rice with a sign on top stating the price of $19.99.At the register it came up as $29.99. Cashier went to go check and came back with the price plaque saying it’s not the same brand when it clearly says “GREEN ELEPHANT”! Which was what the bag I had. Said she couldn’t give it for that price. Ask for a manager and a grumpy old Asian lady came, and right off the bat was like “no ,no,no” this isn’t the right item,without even looking.Went and showed her where the signage was. On top of 20+ bags of “green elephant labeled” rice. Still stated no, someone/customer put it there?!? Are you kidding me I said.Didn’t want to argue further, I just left! I will no longer support any Hmart, seems to have issues of other ethnic background even shopping at their locations. Seems these Korean own store are pretty racist if you’re not Korean! The so called manager there has no reason to be a manager! Very poor customer service!! It’s not my fault you mislabeled your merchandise! No apology but more of a stingy way to treat your customers. It wasn’t even about the the price but the principle! No more…over priced and not even good quality of product! On a side note with the manager, my husband told me about a situation before that he witness her belittling a employee because she had made a error. The employee broke down and cried and she was yelling at her as if she was her mother in front of customers! I unfortunately , have to post these apples Fuji's × 3 large apples I had to throw out all at once .. because they were to brown inside to eat ...Plus the granny Smith apples Skin was to tough to eat..I had to peel them every time to eat them...these were both big bags of apples ..between the the 3 large Fuji'apples..and the whole big bag of grannie Smith on am never one to complain...and you can count on that.. literally until now.....Also ..they wouldn't allow me to post this..If I didn't give them the 1dyar..Tried to leave no stars they wouldn't let me...do the one star you see was actually nsupposedto be no stars...and I was blocked from typing..toward the end ..that's why there's misspellings..not one star ..no stars.....I had trouble posting the photo..that's why there's a repeat of the photo..their blocking me with the keyboard , again I can't see what I'm typing right now ..lastly no place for a thumbs down..n.. Kept insisting that my pa access card be Re entered..again and again..until the younger woman casheer took over and ran my pa access card on the register that worked consistently..It went through on that register ..the other register...the second register the younger women rang it on immediately...
