If you are in the area don’t miss this gem. It’s actually inside of HMart. There are about 6 tables (4chairs each) in the front corner past the cash registers.
The menu options are photos printed on a paper and you can order by number. Which makes it easy. However, I did see a table order a gyoza-like item. So next time, I would like to try to order them.
For drinks: free water from a filtered water cooler. For other options it is suggested to shop in the store & purchase. If you have never been to the store before, there are a few areas where you can find already refrigerated drinks. They are not all in one section, so go explore for all options (we only did that after eating). On the same side of the restaurant there is a refrigerated section with everyday sodas(Coke Fanta etc). If you go to the opposite back corner (from the restaurant), past the produce you will find more drinks. We also bought a small dessert for after lunch.
I love bibimbap. I suggested ordering this for one option for a first timer. #3 gopdol bibimbap (we were given a side of gochujang sauce). For our second option we choose #13 tray jjajing. Both were great options. The tray jjanjing had a tasty brown gravy on noodles with meat, octopus/squid(?), onions. It lists seafood, however the only bites I had were octopus/squid(?). The bibimbap had a great variety of vegetables. I have had bibimbap where the stone bowl crisps up the rice a bit more. Over all a solid choice when mixed with some gochujang sauce. As for the Banchan, I am usually pretty excited about these. The kimchi was spectacular. The pickle radish equally good. My only complaint is that we didn’t get two dishes of kimchi. Some tables seemed to have other options and double dishes of kimchi for two diners (maybe they asked?). I understand that they don’t have to pass out Banchan.
There really isn’t much of an atmosphere to the dining area. It’s in the corner of the market. However, the food coming of its kitchen make up for that.
Having been to Hmarts (Edison, nj, Morrisville, NC, Tyson’s corner VA, Elkins park,PA) there is usually some small food court area. This Myung Ga is the only option available...
Read moreQuaint, cozy, little place inside of the H Mart. Never knew this place existed (grew up in Philadelphia & spent plenty of time frequenting the Levittown area. One of my favorite restaurant Curley’s shares the same parking lot.) until my girlfriend was craving Korean food today & a simple Google search led us to this restaurant. Was confused at first because it led us to the H Mart (which also has a lot of great food & a huge selection) which shares the same address. We were amazed such cool place existed under our noses for so long. The food was absolutely amazing! My girlfriend & I each got a #4 (a bulgogi bowl & we opted for the spicy option. It was a healthy portion size of beef that was seasoned to perfection & was packed w/ flavor. The bowl was served w/ pickled boch choi & bean sprouts as well as a large portion of rice.) & we were not disappointed in the least! Quite the opposite actually! For a tiny restaurant in an H Mart, in some random low key strip mall in Levittown, this place was actually impressive! I’m sure there are far more fancier Korean restaurants in or around the Levittown area but for the money & location this place knocked our meals out of the park w/ generous portion sizes (yes, we had a good amount of leftovers for later) & what we felt was a very tasty dish. Definitely a great place to grab some quick lunch (they have a small dining area in the H Mart & a large parking lot where you could eat peacefully in your car & not be disturbed by other shoppers or tons of traffic as we did) go on a date or meet up w/ friends! 10/10 can’t wait to try again &...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I had just driven into town and craved some Korean food. We happen to see this place on google maps and decided to try it out.
We ordered a #1 and a #17, and ooowweeeee was it delicious. I had just moved into the area from across the country so I was still setting up my home and so we found ourselves eating out until things settled down. Where did we find ourselves eating? Here.
We ordered lunch here twice, and dinner to go. Every single time it hit a sweet spot in our bellies. We ordered a new item each time looking to try something new and wow, hit the spot every time including to go.
Highly recommend, it’ll satisfy your Home not so Homecooked Korean food craving.
It’s located within H-Mart, which is not too bad if you’re looking to stock up on some Product while waiting for your food to be ready or have someone shop around...
