One of the best purchasing experiences I’ve ever had. I’d give more stars if I could. I did my research and was between 2 Tidewaters. I wanted to check both out first hand to make a decision. Both boats go out the door as soon as they come in. Jim’s was able to get 2 customers boats side by side for my wife and I to check out.

Jaime was our sales associate helping us through the process. Knowledgeable would be an understatement. I came prepared with a list of questions and ideas of what I thought would be best for my family. She had answers and suggestions for EVERYTHING on the spot. The suggestions were not what was best for Jim’s or Tidewater. They were the best ways to suite how I wanted to use my new boat. We ended up custom ordering a 282CC. I was able to check every box on what I wanted and within budget. With the electronics (Garmin) I was looking for some specific things like Side Vu on the transducer and bird finding on the radar. Jaime made a call to Tidewater and Garmin direct to help pick out the exact electronics to match up with the factory products and give us the best total package possible. We were told it would be 8 weeks for a custom build and 8 weeks later I was back to pick up our 282CC. It’s perfect all the way down to the DNR stickers on the sides (I have OCD for things like this).

Captial Jimmy took me out for a sea trial to go over everything before I drove it across the Bay to my local marina. This is my first boat mind you. I asked Jimmy to treat me like I’d never been on a boat before. So that’s what he did. We anchored up, shut it down, and started from the beginning. Jimmy was patient and great to work with. Once I had a thorough understanding of how it operated, we hit the open water and did some docking to make sure I was comfortable before taking off.

I cannot say enough good things about Jim’s Marine. As for the Tidewater 282CC Adventure, time will tell but as of now, I think this is the perfect boat for my family. The Seakeeper Ride across the Chesapeake was amazing. If you’re thinking about buying a new boat, stop by Jim’s Marine....
