Petco — Local services in Middletown

2/15 - EDIT. Dropping to 1 Star. Everytime I go to this store I am disappointed. Customer service is awful. Always understaffed and always put profits before customer. Attempted to return several brand new, in original package, unopened, undamaged, non-perishable items, very restockable/resellable items because I no longer own the pet associated with the items and was told no because it had been 60 days since purchase. Not even store credit. So DO NOT buy extra for your pet! DO NOT buy in advance for your pet! DO NOT keep inventory for your pet because if that pet dies you can't return the items. I could understand if the items were opened, perishable, damaged, not commonly sold items, couldn't be stocked, or If I wanted full cash in return, but to not take back items that are 100% resellable and commonly in demand for store credit is just ridiculous. I'll shop else where for my other pets from now on. I'm just done. Just another example of big corporate chains screwing over their customers because they think they have a monopoly. The manager offered to take them off my hands for free but ultimately seemed confused, afraid, and over her head. Save yourself the trip, DO NOT GO HERE! Shop local! Shop mom & pop stores! Tj Max / Marshalls sells a lot of pet supplies at a fraction of the Petco price. I'm so adamant about how bad this store is, contact me and I'll find whatever you need at another store for you.

Nice store, but no staff. Tried in vain to find someone to help me with some saltwater fish selections but after 30 minutes I gave up and left empty handed. It's a 35-40 min drive to the store so it's pretty frustrating to not be able to get...

I recently took my Shih Tzu-Poodle mix to Petco Grooming, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the experience, thanks to the talented Molly-Jeanne. From the moment we arrived, Molly-Jeanne's warm and friendly demeanor put both my dog and me at ease.

Our pup can be a bit anxious during grooming sessions, but Molly-Jeanne handled her with such care and gentleness that she quickly relaxed. Molly-Jeanne took the time to discuss the haircut I envisioned, and her attention to detail was evident in every step of the process.

When I returned to pick up my dog, I was amazed at the transformation. Molly-Jeanne had given her a wonderful haircut that not only looked adorable but was also practical for the summer heat. The cut was even, well-blended, and perfectly suited to her breed's characteristics. It was clear that Molly-Jeanne is a true professional who takes pride in her work.

Additionally, my pup was in great spirits, showing no signs of stress or discomfort, which is a testament to Molly-Jeanne's gentle handling and expertise. The entire experience was seamless and pleasant, making it clear that Petco Grooming, with Molly-Jeanne at the helm, is a top-notch choice for pet grooming.

I highly recommend Molly-Jeanne at Petco Grooming for anyone looking for a skilled and compassionate groomer. Her wonderful haircut on our Shih Tzu-Poodle mix exceeded my expectations, and we will definitely be returning for future grooming needs if we are ever back...

First of all I love PetCo, Secondly, I love THIS PetCo in Middletown, RI! The place is super clean, which is a must with all of the dogs and cats that come in and out. Every staff member on any given day of the weeks is amazing and super helpful. Best of all the grooming service is the absolute best!!! I have to give shout outs to Courtney our groomer who is the best in the country, we’ve moved 36 times and have been to hundreds of groomers!!! We have an incredible Great Dane, but he is sooooo difficult with nail trims, Courtney manages to trim his nails every time. Out of all the Vets and I don’t even know how many pet spas including luxury pet spas in Boston, that we have been to, no vets or groomers will trim his nails! So when we say Courtney is the best we mean it. She is a pro!! In addition, if you do or have or ever will get grooming, you MUST be a VITALCARE member. It has already paid for itself three time in one visit. The discounts are unreal!! Also Jen the assistant manager at the Middletown PetCo is beyond helpful!
