I made a mistake on the dates on the first reservation. I wanted it originally for 7/5 - 7/6, 2025. However, the date on the Booking.com was prefilled with 7/6 - 7/7, 2025. Immediately, I contacted Booking.com to see it could be revise for me due to my mistake. I was told to call this property direct. Booking.com has tried to call for me but no one picked up the phone. Then sent the request online, no reply either. The male representative told me that there was a room available and I could go to the property that night. At the property, I was told that they treat the 7/6 - 7/7 order separate. He told me that the request to cancel without charge would be 99% approved. I was told then that his manager was on vacation and only would be back on Monday. He quoted me the room with exorbitant price of over $300+. We were almost walked out of the door, he than quote me another price of $232.90 with taxes. I was too naive to accept it without checking online from other third parties' sites, which I found out later to be for $203. After seeing that there haven't been any reply on this waiver request, I called on Monday 7/7/25 morning and spoke to a lady claiming that she is the manager. I have to explain all over the scenarios leading to this. They don't even tract the email sent by the Booking.com. She told me that she is verbally agreed to the waiver, but Booking.com has to call her personally to "sort it out" and not through email. Booking.com did called the line but no one picked it up. When I tried to explain that the issue has been passing from one to another for so many times already, she hanged up the line, it's so RUDE!! Booking.com sent another waiver request email on 10:23 AM. Hours later, no reply yet. So, I sent an reminder. Only at 4:12 PM, I received notification from Booking.com that the order has been refunded. I just wondered how many times of this game of passing the ball from one party to another is this hotel staff trying to play, or until such a time that the...
Read moreI woke up at this property, only to find that may car's dome light had been on all night - battery was stone-cold dead. My family and I were on a tight schedule to visit relatives at an event nearby. As I approached the front desk, I wasn't optimistic that I would be able to solve my problem quickly - the lobby was busy and bustling. A young man named Sandeep was on duty, working with another customer - he smiled broadly, and made me feel a little more hopeful. I then watched him deftly solve the issue concerning the young lady in front of me - he made it look effortless. When he turned to me, he patiently listened to my story, and responded simply by offering 'how can I help'?
I explained that I needed to jump my battery, and asked if he might be able to help. He didn't hesitate, but responded immediately by telling me that he had no idea how to jump start a car. When I asked if he could bring his car around to start the process, he disclosed that he didn't have a car. I thanked him for his time, and his willingness to help, and was about to turn away when he said, "No problem, I'll borrow one from a co-worker".
Long story short, Sandeep and I got my car jumped ( I showed him how to attach the cables in sequence, and he videoed the entire process on his phone, 'so he could learn'). I tried to pay him for his kindness, and for his time, but he refused to accept. I remember clearly what he said next - "This is what we do - we are all here to help each other."
So endeth my lesson from Sandeep. I am truly grateful that I live in the country that he...
Read moreThe experience that I had at this place was subpar to say the very least. After staying there the first night, I woke up to bites all over my legs. When I realized the next day, I returned back to the room to check for bed bugs. However, the power was out at the hotel. The rooms were hot and dark. I found bed bugs, and reported it to the front desk. They gave me a new room, and I had to move all my stuff. Given that I was only here for two nights, this occupied a lot of my day for my short trip. The staff had promised a significant compensation for the power outage, and I had agreed on a refund with them for the bed bugs. After all this, my bank was charged in full for my stay. I called Red Roof Inn, and they told me that they couldn't compensate me for the power outage since it was not their fault. They also told me that they found no evidence of bed bugs so I would not be getting my refund. Luckily, I had taken pictures of everything. I sent a long, frustrated email to the manager with photo evidence, also explaining my irritation. All they sent in response was a receipt, telling me that they had refunded me for one night. Please, avoid this hotel by any means. The staff were rude and unhelpful, and I feel that this was not a fair compensation for the headache that was caused for what was supposed to be a short, fun...
