Loop HEB please pick up the spoiled, and damaged food for a refund. I'll leave it outside anytime for pickup. I won't feed it to my children. -at this point, I don't even care about the missing items- just the rotten food. *Edit
I paid over $400 for the grocery delivery service only to receive food that was partially thawed out, squished, and damaged.
I was also missing several items.
I emailed multiple times explaining the situation and sent photos of the damaged items that were questionable to feed my children. I was told to call. My delivery was on a Saturday evening- the number to call was closed.
On Tuesday, I did receive an email from the store asking to call, but no other information. I havent heard from the store after calling with no answer & multiple emails to multiple people.
I asked in the email if I could return the questionable warm meat. No reply.
I wasted almost half my food budget buying warm meat & crushed groceries.
The best part of this story is the day before. I told my coworker how wonderful the delivery service had been. She told me that she had a delivery and ordered meat from there, which was rotten. She emailed and called - the same thing. The store did NOTHING.
She had to take the open pack of ribs to the store. Show the lady who said, âHow do I know it's from here? â
After that, my co-worker grabbed several packs of the ribs (still available for people to buy) and cut the packages open in front of her so she could smell the spoiled meat.
Finally, the manager decided to remove the rotten meat from the stock and refund her money. (I was told this situation happened in Odessa, TX.)
I've used HEB many times before & never experienced this and had such terrible customer service.

And I would have given it a five-star because most the time when I've gone I've been very happy with it service and finding what I need in one place. However on my last visit I needed to pay them for an error that I had actually made myself. I had talked to the manager and he told me to bring back a certified payment such as cashier's check money order cash etc. So I went to my bank and I got a cashier's check went and presented it at the appropriate place and they would not take it because they do not take cashier's checks there. So when I told the young lady who was helping me that I was told by a manager that a cashier's check would be appropriate payment she informed me that management does not understand what they do in their customer service area and they don't know what they're talking about. That actually really upset me. Everything is taken care of now but employees have to understand that the way they handle customers can actually cause harm to the company that they work for. If I had been a thin skin person I might not want to ever go back to HEB. but because I was an employer all of my life I understand that one person does not represent the entire store. We mostly get curbside pickup and we have noticed a gradual increase in errors/mistakes. Once, probably every other visit, an item or two are forgotten. The added convenience of curbside is lost when we have to go back to retrieve a missing item.... Occasionally, when we get meat, all the expiration dates are within 1 day of each other. We like to eat fresh food thats not frozen, please pay attention to the date of expiration, we can't eat 5 pounds of meat in a day! Lastly, please do not take advantage our kind nature of not complaining. Don't give us the worst looking/oldest produce that we end up just having to throw away. Please try to shop as if you were shopping for yourself.
