Had to renew 2 registrations. They have a more efficient system to greatly accelerate throughput. There is a kiosk near the entrance. You select what kind of transaction you have - transfer, registration, renewal, etc. It prints out a number. A big screen displays number and window to goto, which means one long or difficult process wont delay everyone else - you just are directed to the first window available.
Took only about 10 minutes, although because one inspection sheet somehow had the wrong VIN, I had to make another trip the next day after going back to station to fix it.
The staff showed me exactly how to get it corrected so the next day that renewal went smoothly.
If you have ham radio plates, where 1 plate number maps into up to 4 VINS, double check that the VIN on the inspection station sheet matches the VIN of the vehicle before you drive off, as the inspection database can pull up the wrong one.
They helped figure that out.
