Super Mercado — Local services in Midland

You can definitely find fresher food and produce at other stores but if you live close to this store I guess it would work in a hurry up situation, sorry to those that might be in that situation. You can tell over all the store is old and needs a total redo, I have personally seen the suspended ceiling of this store leaking after a big rain and causing water to accumulate on the floor in multiple places in the store causing slippery floors so please be careful if shopping there!!! The employees do their best to keep up the water to prevent any slip and falls but when there are this many holes in the ceiling it is challenging. As far as the employees that work there they are the best you can find anywhere and I know they are underpaid and over worked for the hard work they do so if you can please tip generously, the one thing I do like is tipping the employees is allowed. I have noticed that Duane Brown the acting store director is very hard on his employees making it feel like you are setting on pins and needles while at work. All I can say is the feeling of stress in the air is like the employees are in prison.

Sorry had to add to this review to this other review. There was a shopping cart left by my house and neighborhood kids were playing with it and I ssw that a liitle girl was sitting in cart and it nearly tipped over. So I took it away and put it in my yard. This was about 3 mo ago and we keep telling management annd they keep saying they.will come by. Now I onle live blocks away still haven't come. I let them know I was gonna put it back by trashcan . I can't take it bak its too heavy foe me to push back. Hopefully these kids dont hurt themselves Its a shame to go in that store.but I have no vehicle and its in walking distance. Now sometimes I need cash from my debit card and they only offer $20 cash back. Sometimes I need $50 or more so I buy separate items and get $ 20 each item ...problem is that everytime its like I'm trying to ROB the store with attitude from cashier or its a super problem they can't figure how to do it. I was a cashier at major stores and I KNOW HOW TO DO THESE TRANSACTIONS.. I also have been shopping early when it opens.at 7am and have witnessed the cashier be extremely rude and curse words being said by cashier. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL . I LET MANAGEER KNOW ABOUT HER BEHAVIOR BUT IT SEEMED TO GO IN ONE EAR AND OUT THE OTHER. HOPEFULLY ANOTHER MAJOR STORE WILL BE BUILT AROUND HERE SO I CAN GO TO THAT ONE AND NEVER HAVE TO GO TO SUPER...

Ok so im being accused by Ownership and management from this store for writing a bad review (WHICH I DIDNT) and they will no longer hire me . I guess they never heard of the RETALIATION labor law. Which is no surprise from what iVE seen at Super. I totally agree with the bad reviews that were given . I agree with every word. I was going almost everyday asking for a job because all the employees would say how much help they needed. And everyday the manager AT THE TIME would say he would let me know because i am very experienced so i would go next day and he would say No they dont need any help. So after many attempts to get job here manager finally told me that he was told by HIGHER UPS that do not hire me because i wrote a bad review(WHICH AGAIN I DIDNT..UNTIL NOW)..GO Figure . SO ITS A SHAME THIS IS THE ONLY STORE AROUND HERE BECAUSE I TRULY BELIEVE THE OWNERSHIP IS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF CUSTOMERS AND EMPLOYEES. So SUPER MERCADO KEEP YOUR JOB AND U KNOW WHAT U CAN DO...
