I don’t normally post any comments, but was compelled to do so today because...If I could, I would rate the customer service at this vineyard -0!! My family and I called about two (2) weeks in advance to ensure the vineyard would be open (Saturday before Easter). At the second location of our wine tasting tour, we met another family and mentioned that we would visit Rocky River Vineyards next. They followed us to Rocky River. When I explained to the RRV manager (McKenna), that we didn't really know the additional people who had joined us, she quoted me $11 for a wine tasting. We were originally quoted $10 for my family of four (4). We had driven 100+ miles. I felt she didn't understand that we were not together...so I explained again...and she quoted $11...again. McKenna stated that even if we sat at separate tables the amount of the tasting would be the higher amount. Her voice was elevated. (She may have felt discomfort that so many people arrived at the same time.) Her disposition was NOT welcoming!! I completely understood the gratuity policy and would adhere to it if it applied to my family of four (4). BUT...I clearly stated that I did not know these additional people. I only wanted to taste test and purchase a case of wine. I...
Read moreWine and atmosphere are great, but unfortunately our experience was tainted by the two female employees working tonight. There was only one other couple sitting outside and then we walked in. We weren't greeted until we said something to them at the counter. All of our questions were answered with such cold shoulders and I noticed the employees making eye contact with each other and making faces as if they were displeased we were in their presence. I never bring up race, but this very much felt discriminating and i felt compelled to write this review. We were 4 hispanic people, myself, mother, aunt and uncle. Well dressed and friendly. The other couple outside were African American. Also friendly because we greeted them. I can't think of any other reason why we would have gotten such disgust from these employees.
Hopefully the owners teach their employees better...

Per the previous reviews mask mandate is not followed so I decided to get there when they first open. I did a quick tasting because I was the only one I was allowed stay in, all wines were good. I decided on the Chambourcin dry (fan fave ) as my take home bottle. Reasonable priced. Will stop by again during the...
