Pizza and Beyond — Restaurant in Locust

Terrible, terrible,terrible! I feel absolutely sick after eating what they gave me and my fiancé, we both eat gluten free because my fiancé has dietary restrictions. We ordered in restaurant for take out and it took them 40 minutes to make our order when we only ordered a pizza and chicken Alfredo( both gluten free). We watched the man make our food and he did not wipe anything down or clean anything when preparing our food, and he proceeded to mix gluten with our gluten free orders. When we got home to eat, my food had leaked everywhere and got all over my clothes and everything in its path, the hot grease sitting in my food had made holes in the tin they had put my food in. They prepared my food and that was it, they gave me a side of chicken not even cut up on the side within the tin, prepared with noodles and Alfredo sauce. I could not even continue to eat my food because there was just grease floating all in it. My fiancés food was also very greasy and disgusting. I am extremely disappointed in knowing that they do not care for their customers and I never want to eat here again. It was so unsanitary, it’s not so hard to get new, clean utensils to prepare gluten free food. It seems like their own little world where they do not care about good quality service or quality food .The girl that took our order was extremely nice and offered us free waters. Well, I've searched up and down for good pizza in NC and I've found some good places in Winston, but none in this area. I'm originally from NY and this is it, this is my favorite pizza I've had in NC. I wish this restaurant was near my how in Winston because it would be my go to spot for pizza. Apparently this place is under new management, but whatever it is, they know how to make fantastic pizza.

The marinara sauce is homemade and on point. Everything is fresh. The crust was fluffy and perfect, and the flavor was so good and lightly crispy. The cheese was very good. We had a Sicilian style pizza and a regular 16 inch pizza and both were amazing. In fact, you will be hard pressed to find a better Sicilian in NC, please prove me wrong.

On top of it all, the tiramisu was delicious. The owner and master of the pizza is very kind. I don't know what else to say, down here, a place like this is a once in a lifetime when it comes to a pizzeria, and to have one in Locust/Midland makes me jealous. Do yourself a favor and...

We placed a to go order online, and was unaware that with a dinner plate, that a salad counted in place of the pasta. I’m not paying 60$ for three pieces of chicken and 6 pieces of broccoli. When we got home, and opened our food, the chicken Marsala sauce had poured over our bottom two plates. The chicken Alfredo lid was half of and covered in Alfredo sauce, and there was no pasta. When I called back to ask why, and to explain that the online ordering doesn’t make it clear that a salad is in place of the pasta, the owner laughed at me, and told me I could drive back and get a bowl of pasta, but that’s all he could do. He told me that everything was my fault, because his online ordering was fine, he told me not to come back, and hung up. The mediocre food doesn’t make up for the terrible...
