I am a REAL person. MoCo did not send me clothing in exchange for a review. I purchased all of the clothes I am going to mention. I have been seeing these ads on my feed for a while now, and I finally decided to take a chance and order. I started with the New Love Tummy Control Slim Wide Leg Jeans. It was difficult for me to know my store size. Sometimes an 8 fits me, sometimes a 10 fits, but then with some brands, a 10 is too tight. Trying to get it right the first time, I thought I would size up to a store size 12 (equal to 9 in MOCO). These cuffed jeans looked so cute on the model! I received my package in 2 days, and it was time to try them on. I really dreaded it because I am usually disappointed. Jeans and pants in general are tough for me to get a good fit. When they say the material is "buttery soft," they are not kidding! Wow, they really felt luxurious, and they fit well. I was so excited!! This is on me, but I didn't pay that close attention to the length on the model or look at the inseam measurement, so at 5'1" they were not cropped on me at all. The cuff sat on top of my foot, which was just fine. I was so excited that I immediately took off the tags. I walked around in my house for a little bit and decided that they did feel a little loose after all, and even though it was labelled as a "slim wide leg", the wide leg at the cuff was just a little too much for me. I remembered that I purchased the return label, but when I read up on the procedure, I negated the possibility of a return due to taking the tags off. Yes, I will still wear them, but not sure what I will do with the cuffs. Now, I really needed shorts and still wanted to get a pair of capris. 1 week later, I put in another order. The Capris I wanted were out of stock, so I started with the Severely Soft Tummy Control Cropped Kick Flare Jeans. I know these weren't Capri's, but the model (yikes, I don't remember her name, but she is very positive and uplifting in the ads!) said that since they have a frayed end, they can be cut if you need them to be shorter. I'll admit, I don't like the idea of cutting a pair of new jeans, but so be it. The shorts I ordered were: 1. Judy Blue Simply Summer shorts, and 2. Judy Blue Grand Slam tummy control shorts in reg/curvy. What is important for me with shorts is the longer inseams and high rise. This time I ordered a store size 10-12 equivalent, which was a Large. Two days later, I received my order and once again was nervous. I made sure to keep all the tags on until I was 100% positive that I was comfortable. I tried everything on and all I can say is, JACKPOT! The quality of these clothes is amazing!! Everything fit just like I wanted it to. What is important to me with pants is I don't want anything hanging over, like no muffin top! I basically need my pants to fit like a glove. I don't exactly have a "pooch" below my waist, if that makes sense, but more of an apple shape where my midsection is distributed, so it's hard to find something to "capture" it all. Time will tell if they really don't stretch out throughout the day. If I find that it happens (I know it is not supposed to), I will consider ordering a size down, but for now, I am happy with the fit.
In conclusion, if you are hesitant to try this brand/company, don't be! I am so impressed by the quality of the clothes and the integrity of this company. The sizing guides they offer are very accurate. They have a large selection to fit many different body types. I believe the shorts and jeans are worth the price for my happiness and confidence! I will continue to support this company and look forward to placing...
Read moreI ordered two pairs of jeans on 7/30/2024. I used their 30% flash sale code. Their returns page is not fully clear on who pays for the return. At one point it says customer but then another paragraph it states that the customer pays return shipping if they ship it prior to a return authorization. It’s written as though first time customers do not pay return shipping? It’s confusing. This is not a negative reviews on the brands of jeans MoCo sells. The shipping was fast and I love the brands themselves. I followed the sizing however the pair that suggested sizing down 2, I should’ve only sized down 1. The jeans were incredible, I just needed to get the next size up and that’s unfortunately a very difficult and costly task. I needed to set up a return. They do not do exchanges, you receive store credit or a full refund if you’re a first time customer. However, what they don’t have listed in their return policy is the following.
If you purchased with a discount code (I had a 30% off code) they do not honor that. You will receive store credit for what you paid and a 10% discount.
You don’t get a full refund if you used a discount code.
Their returns pages is a bit confusing. It states that you should not send items back without authorizing a return. “The customer pays shipping in this instance.” And later in another paragraph it states “customers pay return shipping.” A bit confusing. In order to do what is essentially an exchange I need to pay to ship the item back, the difference in the new cost since they won’t honor the original discount and I have to pay new shipping.
What was originally a $48 pair of jeans has now turned into $77 and that doesn’t even guarantee I’d get the same jeans because they sell out quickly. So I’m paying nearly $25 in shipping costs after this is all said and done, plus the difference and taking a gamble on if I would even get the same jeans.
There are so many exceptions to their return policy and it’s not crystal clear. Their chat service offered a 10% discount code when they receive the return. Then via email they offered to give me a credit for the 30% difference. So I’d still need to purchase the new jeans for more than I originally paid plus two way shipping and then I’d get about a $20 credit which doesn’t buy hardly anything at their store so I’d still need to spend even more money.
I want to shop small but this is a big reason many people don’t. Online only boutiques where you can’t try anything on and it’s such a hassle to return and reorder. This is not at all how you retain customers. I’m so disappointed. I was looking forward to purchasing more denim but knowing how much of a pain it is to return anything, I just...
Read moreI ordered a very distressed and ripped up pair of jeans from them however I followed their sizing chart and it was EXTREMELY OFF!! I purchased a return label just in case if this happened (which I did not receive.) so while those were in transit being returned I went ahead and ordered the same exact pair in the correct size that I thought would fit along with another pair. Once I receive the ripped pair they fit fine but after just an hour they were so stretched out they were falling off of me... The other pair the sizing is also completely off. Once they received the very distressed and ripped jeans that I had returned plus another two pair that their sizing chart was completely off, I received an email stating that I would not be receiving a refund for the distressed and ripped pair of jeans saying there were markings on the jeans. Those jeans were not individually packed when I received them (like the ones I had received the second time) and I had the exact similar markings on the same pair I had ordered the second time just in different spots. They are distressed jeans they have markings all over them, they absolutely were not stains, the jeans weren't even tried on because once they were taken out of the package and I could tell by looking at them they definitely weren't going to fit and their sizing chart was completely wrong. They advised me that they would send me those same jeans back for a shipping fee of $8 or the jeans would be donated. I sent an email explaining this to them and still have yet to received a response. The material of the jeans that I ordered have markings all over them that is how they are made so I'm just confused how I received a second pair with the same exact markings on them but I am not being refunded for the first pair that I ordered that have the same markings that this company is trying to...
