I love bookstores, even in the airport. Airport bookstores don’t have a huge selection, but they have enough to kill some time in. This one has all the standard things, including new releases, and a few magazines. The nice thing about airport bookstores, as compared to other stores and restaurants in the airport is that they are not overpriced. The book sell for the marked price, and the stores don’t inflate them. On items besides books, though, the prices are inflated. One odd thing about Green Apple Books is that they actually sell vinyl albums. I know there are a few people that still collect them, but it seemed like a very unlikely place to buy vinyl, right before you get on an airplane. Read moreI was flying out of the SFO airport (terminal 1 - Alaska) earlier today and thought I would walk into the bookstore. Who doesn’t like a good bookstore? The store was great and well stalked. However, the unknown male employee, who was talking to another employee, took it upon himself to verbally berate the store manager. It should be noted the manage he was speaking about was not on duty so he said. The worst part of the ordeal was the continuous use of profanity. He must have thought he was a sailor.
