This housing is affiliated with Millersville University, which is nice since its so close to the campus and is available only to students, and the new apartment blocks are alright, but that's about where the pros end. The price is very high, not considering utilities, compared to a lot of other places around Millersville that are not much further away. Expect little to no help from office/landlord staff if there is any issues, and if need be, office hours are conveniently held from 12-5pm on Monday-Friday. If you are a student with enough credits to move somewhere else besides a SLI property, do so, and if, God forbid, you do decide to move into an SLI property, read the lease thoroughly and do not fall for staff, or anyone else for that matter, saying that each person is "independently responsible," and that the rent is compartmentalized. This is backed up by the clause in the lease "No oral or written agreement(s) made before the signing of this Lease are part of the leaser unless the same are included in this Lease in writing." If one roommate doesn't pay their individual payment to SLI, you and all of your other roommates will be sent eviction notices, and have 5 days to respond. Ultimately, look elsewhere for off-campus living if you are a Millersville student, there are many other places accomodating for such if you are reputable and a...

I don't even know where to begin. The building themselves are tragic. Upon initial glance they appear adequate, spacious even. I can not count how many times I had to call student lodging to take care of ants and spiders infesting the apartment I was living in. I was given ant traps for the hoard underneath my bed after explaining that they were coming in through the floor and that I had just spent half an hour cleaning them out of my drawers ( I had no food in my room, simply a pack of gum). The buildings are terribly insulated and instead of spraying for bugs when they are well aware they will infest said horribly insulated apartment buildings they wait until a complaint is made. The walls are so thin I was awoken on multiple occasions to the vibrating sound of the cellphone belonging to the person who lived ABOVE me. You will be able to hear full conversations of people in the apartment building beside you. Student lodging staff is rude and their hours are not practical for...
Read morePros: -when something needs to be fixed, it can usually happen sooner than what you would expect from other landlords
-Area is well kept in terms of landscaping
Cons: Losing a key costs you $25.00 (copying a key at Walmart costs about $2.00)
-Not transparent with charges to account
Extremely thin walls allow you to hear your neighbor's conversations
-Rent is exorbitantly high for the area
-Kitchen utilities can be antiquated; ovens can prove to be a fire hazard at times
-Comcast maintains a monopoly on the area in which wellness resides so you are forced to go through them; same internet plan doubled in price over the course of 2.5 years.
Overall, it is best that if you are looking for an apartment close to campus, you look somewhere else. Student Lodging, Inc. abuses the fact that they are the first people pointed to when students are looking for off-campus housing. Their current rating speaks volumes about the business they run.
On a side note, Student Lodging, Inc. misrepresents their listing for the Healthy Living Properties. ALL of those properties do not in fact contain two...
