I was down here for the state wrestling tournament from Clarksburg and heard about this place so I decided to stop by, and this was absolutely the worst experience at a dress shop in my life. I found a dress to try on and I went up to a worker at the front to help find a dressing room. She seemed bothered by me even asking her, but she told me any dressing room that had a curtain open and no one was in I could have. So I went to one in the back corner and there was no one using it and absolutely no sign of anyone using it. I was walked in on twice while trying on the dress about apparently taking someone’s dressing room, which had no clothes on the ground or sign that someone was using. I was finishing up and hanging up the dress and one of the employees walked in on me for the third time and grabbed dresses off the wall and basically yelled at me for being in this dressing room. I felt like I was being stared at and given looks like what is this girl doing here? She doesn’t even look like she could afford any of these dresses by the employees. This is the rudest customer service I have ever seen, I would never be that rude to someone trying on a $600 dress. I have been to many dress shops from Clarksburg up to Pittsburgh with ten times better dress selections than this place and was never treated this poorly. I’ll gladly take any of my dress shops back home over this...

i’ve bought two prom dresses from barbie’s and have had terrible experiences both times. however this year’s experience was the worst. i went into barbie’s 4/4/22 this year to purchase my senior prom dress. i didn’t get any assistance while shopping and was profiled heavy. they only really help the girls that either look like they have money or fit into their idea of pretty. other customers around me were getting help with dresses and etc. everytime i’ve been here staff has been extremely rude and honestly just been laying around doing nothing. i’m a very tiny person and i wear a 00. when trying on the dresses and i asked if they would have anymore 00 or 000 they told me that no they wouldn’t have anymore in. there have been over 10 00 posted alone from 4/5/22 to todays date on their facebook page. i had to get the dress that i bought altered (they don’t offer refunds btw) and my alterations were completely messed up. my dress fits totally different now. when i told them about my dress and the alterations they told me they cut off alterations for the date of my prom. they only called me friday and let me know that my dress was done being altered when i was originally told it would take no longer then a week. i am extremely disappointed everytime that i leave this place. i’ve never once felt helped or like i wasn’t being judged. such an...

I have had different experiences each time. I went back in my hs days with a friend (1999) and had a decent experience. When it was my turn a few years later to shop I had a horrible experience. It seemed as though they gave more attention to the ritzy customers. It was like oh they look poor why are they here. 2 years later same thing. I try once more seeing a new girl and she was pleasant and helpful. I wanted the perfect wedding dress. Last year I go in not many dresses I like and as I'm changing I could hear snickering from some of the younger girls. Hearing one say just go to walmart. I was also left in a dress I couldn't get out of and another customer helped me take it off. I hung it up walked right past everyone and not one blink or motion of caring. I still wonder if they even noticed a customer left. I've heard this is common. Difference from my teen years yes we were poor. I remember crying so hard after it. But, this time you lost a customer. God has blessed me with a high paying job. Just word of advice or common sense. We're all human beings...
