If i could give this place zero stars i would do so. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I've had my phone for 5 years before the screen cracked. i went in to get it changed the first time. Picked it up in good time and i felt relieved. Few weeks after, the screen which was replaced cracked again, the phone slid from my grip as i stood up, so i took the responsibility even though i was wondering why it should crack so badly from a minimal fall. CLEARLY THE PARTS BEING USED ARE OF LOW QUALITY. I PAID AGAIN to have it changed. Just before i left the store, i put the phone on and noticed the sound was off. My calls, youtube and instagram were sounding very distant and i was struggling to hear. I NEVER had this issue before. They said they had to change the speaker also because it was attached to the screen. They said they would rectify the issue by changing the screen AGAIN. When i called on the agreed upon day and time, the guy wasnt even at the store! Then i had some personal matter where i couldnt go back for another few weeks, during that time i changed my phone case to a more protective case, was practically babying my phone and STILL noticed a crack on the phone which progressively got worse for absolutelyno reason. How can a phone (samsung) which i used for 5 solid years, wasn't at all gentle with it during that time. Now in 3 months its cracking so much after the screen is replaced, and I'm being extra careful with my phone!! These folks are selling the POOREST OF QUALITY PRODUCTS!! Plus, why would i go in for a screen issue and now i'm having a speaker issue??! That speaks to the fact that the screen in question is so poor in quality that the attached speaker is faulty!!! Now i cannot even hear with my phone unless i put it on microphone (loud speaker)!!! This is ludicrous!! And instead of them to be honorable and replace the whole darn thing with a better quality, they are acting like i am trying to mooch off when mind you, i spent $500 there already!! 500!!! That's the price of a brand new phone!!!! They have absolutely zero honor and integrity. I wish I'd have gone to samsung from the start!!! AVOID THIS BUSINESS!!!
Edited to add: I NEVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH MY SPEAKER BEFORE YOU GUYS TOUCHED MY PHONE!! MY SPEAKER NEVER GAVE ME ANY PROBLEMS, SO YOU MUST HAVE TAMPERED WITH MY PHONE FOR THIS TO OCCUR, WHICH IS EVEN WORSE!! Also, WHEN I CAME IN AGAIN FOR A SOLUTION, I LEFT YOUR STORE WITH EVEN MORE ISSUES THAN I CAME WITH!!! FOR THE SECOND TIME!! NOW I CAN'T EVEN HEAR UNLESS MY PHONE IS ON SPEAKER!! THIS IS A PHONE I WAS USING FOR 3 WEEKS BEFORE I CAME IN!!!! AND YET YOU STILL REFUSE TO TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY, AND CHANGE WHATEVER FAKE LOW QUALITY PARTS YOU ARE USING. I WILL DEFINITELY BE TAKING THIS UP WOTH MY BANK SINCE YOU CAN'T EVEN BE HONEST ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED!! YOU ARE NOW RESORTING TO LIES!! Read moreI recently visited Techy (located inside Walmart on Highway 9) for professional repair services on my iPhone 11. Despite initial impressions of professionalism from the technician, Peter, the outcome was subpar.
The repair, which included a screen replacement and battery change, was completed within 30 minutes. However, the phone exhibited new issues post-repair, including non-functional Face Recognition, rapid battery drain, incomplete charging, and additional screen damage. It appears that non-genuine Apple parts were used, raising concerns about quality and warranty.
Furthermore, I was asked to provide my password PIN, which was recorded by the technician - appears as an invasion of privacy. Upon returning for assistance, the issues remained unresolved. Escalation to a senior technician, Sam, resulted in replacement of the screen and battery upon my persistence and insistence, but some of the underlying problems persisted.
The total cost of $436.31, including generous tips, did not include a printed or emailed itemized invoice, written lifetime warranty, or refund. Original parts were not returned.
Given the experience, I would advise seeking alternative repair services with better quality control and authentic parts. As a customer, I am extremely dissatisfied with the outcome and may now need to incur additional expenses to replace the phone or carry the phone elsewhere for...
Read moreMy laptop was not powering all the way up, just the start screen. I called and spoke with Sam and he said sure bring it over and he could take a look..... I get there and he said it was $40 dollars to diagnose the problem, but said it was probably the hard drive and if that was the case it would be less than $100 total to fix.....and the $40 would go towards total cost..I was hesitant since it was an old laptop.....but decided to go ahead and let him do the diagnostic...he rings it up and it is $40 +tax....charging tax on a diagnostic.....after a few days I call and he advised it would $150 to fix....and it was the hard drive.....we went back and forth about his original quote if it was the hard drive, but he just kept putting it off on someone that was not even there .....so of course I have already spent the $45....that he baited me in with....of course to only give me a quote of over $50 more than previously stating!.....this location is in Forsyth county and the tax is 7 percent and both times I was charged 8 percent ..... I get my laptop back....I can't use Internet explorer....I can't do any kind of update....I can't run any spyware to see if anything was put on my comp....I have left three messages with no return phone call.....I can say I would never trust this place again! He said I had three months that he would guarantee the work, now they won't even return...
