So I have frequented this store over years, more frequently since our Church is located in this community. However, I have grown accustomed or numb to the anticipated stalking that happens at these establishments. While I’m area of this practice of the distrust and disrespect commonly displayed by foreigners who profit off the black community today was an awakening. While shopping at this location I was accused of stealing a $1 lipstick 💄 by whom assume are the owners. I was asked to let them search my purse for items that I had set on top of a shelf. When I advised the gentleman and the woman shouting at me from the register that I had not dropped lipstick in my bag which set on the floor to pull up pants 👖 she replied “I saw you.” I replied “mamm you saw no such thing.” At which point I pointed to the items I had in my hand. I originally opened my purse 👜 to allow them check my purse then was like ummmm 🤨 naw when the gentleman reached in my purse. Needless to say I will never return and will encourage everyone I know to no longer patronize this business. Only to find out this store doesn’t do returns and only do exchanges or “store credit”, or a “ discount “. Mind you I already feel uncomfortable because the moment I walked in I got my bad snatched from me. So I end up getting the human hair and instead of them adding the money to what I already bought so my item is less the gave me another “discount” mind you I still had to end up paying a lot and all that money still went to them. Either tell people you don’t do return or stop trying to finesse people for their hard work money just to make more. Will NOT be...
Read moreMy first visit saw diversity in staffing which was a first, normally it is extreme nepotism.
The owner was extremely polite but these raised platforms behind the register to watch patron's, the employee who just happens to find the need to leave his post to come across to the store to observe you shopping, the photos of thieves posted at the exit is getting old.

When this wave started years ago many African Americans were told cosmetology licenses were needed to meet the criteria to open these establishments.
When did the rules change? How did this culture monopolize the hair and nail business in less than one generation...
