The Ćevapi is to die for. Served simply with bread, chopped onions and a dollop of sour cream, it was the smell that signaled it was going to be good. The meat is perfectly seasoned and JUICY every bite, beginning to end. The owner bakes her own bread daily and when served with the Ćevapi, it's satisfyingly toasted in places and and soaks up some of the amazing juices from the meat. Fluffy without being too airy and a nice chew that taste like a really good cracker when toasted. The dish comes with 9-10 pieces of meat and was deceptively satisfying, even for a hungry eater.

The second thing we tried was the Meat Burek. Again, well seasoned meat and spices nestled between soft somewhat bready homemade dough. The dough wasn't thin and flaky like phyllo dough (what the interwebs says its supposed to be) but the taste of it made you not care about that little detail. Moist and chewy more akin to bread, with nicely crisp and toasted golden brown edges gave it texture. Our pie was about an inch thick and about ten inches long and could easily feed two.

Both dishes were very meat-centric and we bought a pickled salad from the grocery store portion to round out our meal.

Ordering does take a little courage if you're shy, as there isn't an obvious menu, like in a restaurant. They have an open face letter board titled "GRILL" and then a list of dishes in serbian - there are also laminated printouts of what the food looks like (super helpful if you're a first timer). We asked if the grill was open, received a somewhat curt "of course" then bit the bullet and asked to put in an order. There are tables inside an outside to eat, and you can buy a cold drink from the coolers inside the grocery store portion. If you're a first timer, go by the pictures and order that way.

Don't let the curtness dissuade you from ordering. The owners are very nice, warm, helpful people that take pride in their food. How good the food is evidenced by the constant stream of outgoing orders we saw as we waited and ate our food onsite. Would definitely...

While I was delivering an uber eats order that was right next door for ONE second because she came out. I was about to walk into their store to get something to drink when the owner yelled at me that i couldnt come in and then wrote down my license plate number and continued screaming. RUDE OWNER, I’m guessing the wife is the one who approached me as she said she would talk to him. This place doesn’t feel “family welcomed” maybe biased because I’m a Hmong/Laotian oriented In the Asian community and they refused service. All he could’ve said was that they were closing or that I couldn’t park there. Instead he continued to write down my license plate as I tried to reason with him and say sorry because I was new to that specific area and have never been there before. He could’ve asked me to move my car but instead insisted to point at a HIDDEN SIGN behind his fat pick up truck that you’ll miss unless you’re about 3 feet in front of it. I was going to consider coming back to shop, but with this type of customer service? I watched how he treated HIS ethnicity with care, but automatically TURNED ME AWAY. With that attitude you will not be getting business... ask NICELY, instead of screaming “WHY YOU PARK. WHY YOU PARK.” Your sign needs to be BIGGER AND NOT HIDDEN. You could’ve asked me nicely to move. Food might be “good” to others, wish I could’ve tried it! But I will not be treated like I’m stupid. If I could give 0 stars on this, i would. BE MORE...

Me and my husband visited this store couple of months ago. We walked into the the store and were starred down , top to bottom by the owner and his wife. We were not greeted, let alone asked if we needed help with anything. We waited by the deli counter for what seemed like forever, when the lady finally decided to get up and ask us what we needed. We wanted to get some of the meat they sell, but it was towards closing time, and we were told that they didn’t have anything left. But in a very rude way. Good Customer service is not something that is practiced quite often here. Kind and polite are unknown words for these owners.

Left with zero intentions of ever coming back.

Couple minutes down the road, you’ll find another small Balkan store, where the atmosphere is completely opposite, and it is such a pleasure to shop.
