Getting this pizza on a Friday night is a complete hassle. From finding a place to park to getting your pizza anywhere close to on time, the whole thing becomes an experience. Walk in and witness the dining area filled with the irritated faces of people waiting. An unsinkable friendly woman working the register will sincerely call you 'dear' and lie straight to your face about when your pizza will be ready. Just stand still near the dough counter for a few minutes and you'll understand why she needs to. In a teeny amount of space with over-sized blazing hot pizza ovens, seven people are working their tails off in almost perfect synchronicity to fill hundreds of orders while Pennies from Heaven bops and bounces around the atmosphere creating a scene of delightful chaos that is a treasure to behold. An hour and a half later, you'll get your pizza and realize what all the hype is about. The chewy thin, almost burnt bubbly crust is so long you'll need a couple cardboard rounds under to support it. With barely any sauce but a generous amount of toppings this pizza is our family's favorite. You can enjoy this pizza too, just go into it knowing it's a two...
Read moreWe came here for my son in law’s 21st birthday. We ordered an appetizer but the appetizer came out before our drinks did which wasn’t cool from the start. Then we ordered a small pizza and a large pizza. The small pizza came out first and we couldn’t eat together as a family because we waited 20 minutes for ours to come out. I had to go to the front to question why this is and they said that’s how it happens a lot. What kind of excuse is that? When ours finally came out it was burnt so I sent it back. All black underneath and on top so it was clearly bad. I did ask to talk to a manager but no one came out to address my concerns. After ours came out a second time we tried to enjoy it but their sauce was too scarce and topping were not hot. This is NOT the Maria’s pizza we had through the years. We used to have it almost every other weekend so I know my pizza. Sausage wasn’t the same either. Clearly disappointed in our experience here and I just hope they don’t keep burning the pizzas for the guests that want a night out with family and friends. Btw the table across from us sent their burnt...
Read moreI am writing a review based on a recent experience with a Manager at Maria's Pizza. Going on my private FB Page and reading what I wrote about my observation about an elderly couple and how my sister and I was kicked out was not slanderous in anyway. Stating "taking a break, "being kicked out" and "seeing what the future holds" are the same terminology. I have that right to express how I felt about the situation, Maria's Pizza Manager took it the wrong way.
I have read numerous reviews and how people were complaining about how burnt the pizza was, flies flying around, how long the pizza took to make and the taste was never the same as the old recipe, I read how nice you were to those people that wrote the review, but you did not say to them "lets take a break and/or lets see what the future holds. Maria's Pizza offered to replace the pizza for free. When I complained about the pizza and how it was made, Maria's Pizza had a little bit of a problem with it.
I am only writing to express how I felt about this situation and fighting to come back to the restaurant. I have been a long time customer of...
