My fiance and I DEEPLY regret getting my brand new engagement ring (purchased elsewhere) sized down through Rohr. The soder point where the shank was cut for resizing the ring broke apart twice in a matter of weeks, the 2nd time it happened was less than 48 hours after I picked it up.

While picking up my ring for the 3rd time I noticed my solitare morganite now has an enormous gouge across its face as well as a gouge on the band itself. The clerk who gave it to me insists it's normal wear and tear I just couldn't see before he cleaned it. I have photos of the ring from the day I dropped it off, and this damage was not there. It's my belief that I absolutely would have noticed such significant damage to my brand new engagement ring before leaving it with Rohr.

Beware they do NOT document any existing damage when repairing outside jewelry, so sadly they have no paper trail to know either way. We havent even started planning our wedding yet and my fiancé and I now have to save for a whole new engagement ring.

UPDATE: 3 weeks later and I've heard nothing from the owner in an attempt to explain himself or rectify this situation - I ultimately had to spend $400 at another locally-owned jeweler who was willing to memorialize this one-and-only 1st engagement ring into a pendant.

I'm now out the cost of my original ring, the cost of it's replacement, and $400 to try to salvage this nightmare - and they can't even give me my $50...

I would give this business -5 stars. A diamond fell out of my ring, luckily I found the diamond. I took the ring and loose diamond to Rohr Jewellers to have it put back in. I was happy with the result. Sitting at a restaurant for dinner tonight they had a black light to show a mural on the wall and I noticed one of the diamonds in my ring was glowing a completely differed color to the rest of the diamonds. Google helped me out. Fake diamonds and very high quality diamonds glow a different color from the normal purple glow of regular diamonds. As I gave the loose stone and the ring to the Rohr jeweler I can not believe he would have decided to put a much higher quality diamond in my ring. The much more logical conclusion is that he has charged me to give him a perfectly good diamond and have a fake diamond placed in my ring. Shame on you, I hope your conscious weighs very heavy. I highly recommend Sam of Rohr Jewelers. Sam is the BEST!!! So talented,, he has the best vision and is just an all around good guy! My engagement ring & all wedding jewelry came from Sam almost 19 years ago. The jewelry is so stunning and I am so happy he guided us on selecting timeless treasurers. I recently had an opportunity to reconnect with Sam when I stopped by his East side location with a repair needed on my ring. The ring is almost 19 years old and it has taken a beating so it was time for tune up. Sam was just as pleasant and accommodating as ever. He is knowledgeable, and just an all around good guy! I appreciate that he stands behind his work and because of that he has clients for life. We are looking forward to making our way back to Rohr again in the near future for more...
