Spike Brewing — Local services in Milwaukee

I bought a Trio brewing system from Spike in late 2020. The system works really well, and came with detailed procedures that I still occasionally reference. The quality is top notch. Everything just fits together and works together as it should. When brewing the quick disconnects make life easier, the counterflow allows for effortless whirlpooling and chilling. I can't recommend a Spike system highly enough. The controller is a beautiful piece of gear that does everything I could ask for. Pumps come on at the flip of a switch. There's even a switch and receptacle for a pump that goes with the steam condenser. The steam condenser saved me the trouble of having to vent steam out of my basement. That alone is HUGE. I now brew in my basement during the winter. When I had an issue with an LED switch not illuminating, Spike sent me a replacement at no cost to me immediately. Spikes customer service is simply unmatched. I have since bought several other pieces of gear from Spike. Thier shipping is super fast, and quality is always top notch. ...

I purchased a 10 gal custom kettle. From the discussions I had with Spike about what my plans they came up with a perfect Kettle for me. While I was waiting patiently for my Kettle to be built and shipped, I received an e-mail from their Quality department explaining that they notice a slight scratch on the outside and that it was cosmetic and would not interfere with the function. The offered a slight discount for the discrepancy if I would accept it. When I received my Kettle I was very pleased with it, except I noticed a few marks inside. I emailed them and with in a few hours I received a reply with what they had figured it was and how to solve it. I did what they suggested, and perfect. Customer service was great. I have brewed in my kettle twice and I am loving it. It is heavier than I expected, and seems to be made with pride. I am no welder, but the welds seem to be...

Ordered a 15 gallon tri-clamp kettle during the warehouse sale, item arrived and I discovered a deep pit it the base of the pot. Spike replaced the kettle and the replacement had no protective covering on the logo, a smaller pit, and the lid doesn't fit correctly. I have to force it down, then it just pops out of place. Clearly they replaced the kettle with another that was returned. I'm going to live with what I got, but it will be my last purchase from Spike.

Edit. Spike did what they can do to make it right. The customer service is amazing, so I will add a couple of stars. The only problem I have is with their quality control. I should have never received two imperfect kettles. They need to realize the inconvenience involved with shipping back such...
