King Road Market — Local services in Milwaukie

I stop by here almost all the time to get candy for my kids and a couple drinks. This time what looks like the owners older child or younger family member was working that I have never seen before. After grabbing candy like usual I go up to the counter to pay for it and he accused me of stealing a piece of candy. In shock and appalled by his claim I let him know that I didn’t. Instead he kept insisting that I did even though I had about $6 in candy at the counter and asked why he would think I would need to steal one piece of candy. He says “you tell me!” I have never been so disrespected in my life. I should of said never mind and left the candy but my kids were in the car. I don’t think I will ever go back to this store again. Especially if they accuse you of stealing...

I walked in, and to the right by the coolers with energy drinks, then made my way to the back coolers to loop around. The owner started shouting, about something, and when I looked up he was pointing to one of the beer coolers, and was in fact, shouting at me. I dismissed this, and he went to attended to a customer at the counter. I grabbed two drinks, and went to the counter. Gave him my card, and while punching in the transaction COUGHED into the hand holding my card. No mask on. When I asked him to please wipe my card off before handing it to me, he said he was hard of hearing, and I had to explain it several times. With all that we’re dealing with these days, it’s absolutely unacceptable to cough on someone...

This guy totally rips people off! He opened my cigs and took out the coupon. Plus he only gives 25¢ off a pack of camels when it says 75¢ off on the pack. He is rude and shortchanged my friend and gave her a fake phone number. He needs his store taken...
