The only reason i am leaving a 1 star is because of the treatment I recieved while trying to order takeout. I used to always eat at this place as a kid with my family, and decided to try and place an order now to show my husband the good food from this restaurant. WELL... I called in and told the lady on the phone i wanted an order of hot and sour soup as well as Mongolian Beef to go. When I asked if it was the one off of Mcloughlin Blvd, just to double check that I called the correct location cause i realized there were two Hong Kong 97's that popped up on google maps and I figured it was the right one but just needed to double check. The lady went ballistic on me and was SO mean in the way she said they are off of King Road, said something else, and then proceeds to hang up on me. So i was like "Okay... maybe she misunderstood." I called again and she picks up the phone this time saying how they are off of King Rd, she did not do that the first time. I explained I understood that but she hung up on me in the middle of my order and she continues to be SO extremely rude to me. Very snarky. Do not know what her name was, just upset that someone would treat a customer like this. Not very happy with that treatment. It's more upsetting than anything else because I was genuinely excited to eat their food and that was the service and treatment I...

I highly recommend this Chinese food!! This location specifically! I originally was headed for the one on McLoughlin Boulevard where I've been multiple times because they have pretty good Chinese food and I'm very picky. They ended up being randomly closed so I decided to go to the one off King Road. I've never had better sweet and sour pork! It had a thicker breading than what I've typically . I get mine with sauce on the side. the lady taking my order at the register was so very nice and even got me ice water while I waited for my food since it was a to go order. The food sat at my house for 25 minutes after I got home before I even opened it and it was a good 15 minute drive and when I opened it it was still piping hot it didn't taste like it had been in a plastic bag or affected by the moisture you would have thought it came right out the kitchen it was amazing highly highly recommend! We will definitely be coming back not just that but indoor dining was so nice super clean you didn't see a lot of storage chairs or extra stuff off to the side like you sometimes do it the other one I didn't see the bar this time but I will definitely definitely be back already looking forward...

Taste/flavor is great! But it’s very disappointing to see extremely dry BBQ Pork served. And the General Tsao chicken and the Sweet & Sour Chicken were also dry as well… so dry I could barely bite into, if at all! and couldn’t cut with a fork at all!

Update: Decided to try again 4/17/2024: Terrible! Nothing has changed, and it went in the garbage! I’m talking tough, chewy chicken so bad that you cannot chew it… you end up feeling like you’re flossing your teeth with chicken. Yes…. You read that right! Dry, stringy, chicken floss! Disgusting. I used to love the General Tsao’s chicken here. But every time I’ve ordered this over the last 3 years, it’s been so damn dry you can’t cut it, bite into it, or chew it! Even the fried breading… so tough I couldn’t chew it! What the hell is going on here?! They don’t provide knives either, unless you ask for one. Love this place but food quality has gone downhill. Never again. You’ve had plenty of time and chances to figure it out. But when I’m in pain trying to dig your chicken floss out of my gums, it’s because your food is tough and dry and that means your customers...

I don’t know how this place manages to be SO GOOD. I’ve lived in the Clackamas area my whole life, so any Chinese place a local can recommend, I’ve likely tried. This spot is hands down my favorite & I’ll make the extra drive for it. The General Tso’s Chicken is the best I’ve ever had and my go-to dish. Potstickers are thick and doughy. The rice is always soft and flavorful. My family members also have their favorites - sweet & sour, crab rangoons, Kung Pao Shrimp….there’s so many hits here you yet can’t miss.

Proportions were big! That was the good! My partner ordered #3 dinner combo w/chow mein and it was just noodles with too much sauce and no flavor. Very plain. I ordered #7 which listed Kung Pao Chicken and it had no chicken, but scallops 😣 We ordered egg rolls for our kid, and they were huge, they tasted over fried, and had shrimp inside so he refused to eat them. The server wasn’t friendly and acted like we were disrupting her from her lottery customers. We won’t be back.
