I placed an order for my wedding gown in January 2025 after being measured by a sales associate at this boutique. At the time, my waist measured 29 inches. I was presented with two sizing options: a size 10 (listed as a 28-inch waist) or a size 12 (listed as a 30-inch waist). Wanting a snug fit, I went against the associate's advice of a size 12 and ordered the 10 based on the manufacturer's size chart. When I picked up the gown in April 2025, it was immediately evident that the waist was far too large. My waist measurement had not changed since the original fitting and was confirmed again at 29 inches. Despite this, I measured the dress’ waist, seam to seam, and it measured at 34 inches. 6 inches larger than the 28 inches listed for a size 10. I contacted the boutique the following day (Sunday) and was told no one was available but that I would receive a return call on Monday morning. I received no call back. I followed up on Monday afternoon and spoke with a manager. She reassured me she would reach out to the manufacturer for the original size chart and recommended I contact one of their preferred seamstresses for alterations. Stating that worst case she would send me to their inhouse tailor in Columbus. Unfortunately, the seamstress list proved ineffective—six were no longer in business, one declined to work on the dress after a phone consultation, and another hung up on me when I attempted to make an appointment. I informed the manager of these concerns, and she apologized, promising to “make it right” and to call me back by Wednesday morning. By Wednesday evening, having not received another promised call back, I called again. This time, the manager’s tone had shifted significantly. I re-explained the above issues and was told that if it doesn’t measure at 28, the manufacturer would have to send you a corrected dress. However, when I told her the measurements I took, she stated that the measurements I took could be incorrect. Upon hearing her assumption, I asked if I could bring the gown in for professional verification of the measurement and was told flatly, “no after a dress leaves we don't let them come back.” After I pushed back on this "no" due to the contradictory nature of stating the manufacturer must send the correct dress and stating I cannot get it measured to see if it is correct or not, she said she would need to get special approval from her supervisor and would get back to me by next Monday, effectively delaying any resolution for nearly a week. We are now at the following Tuesday with again, no callback. Despite multiple attempts to engage in good faith and resolve the issue through proper channels, I have received inconsistent information, lack of follow-through, and a concerning unwillingness to even verify the measurements of the gown that was sold to me based on inaccurate sizing guidance. This experience has caused undue stress during what should be a joyful time. I feel as though I should not be held accountable to alter my dress to fit the manufacturer size chart I was guaranteed. Also, I fear that my wedding dress will not be able to be altered to look the same with the large amount of fabric needed taken out. This review is the only justice I can get for potentially...
Read moreHenri’s is a great store. Over the past few years, my sisters and I have always gone here to buy dresses for school dances. The building is clean, has lots of options to pick from, and the workers are kind as well as helpful.
In the beginning of March 2019, I set up an appointment to try on bridal dresses. The process of making my appointment was easy, I was able to set my appointment via internet. When arriving for my appointment, along with a few of my family members, Lauryn Tobin was very accommodating to us and allowed us to take our time to look at the dress options available as well as answer any questions we had. I really enjoyed my experience. I’m happy to say that Henri’s had just the dress I wanted and I can’t wait to wear it on my wedding day!
My dress was ordered in the beginning of March and arrived towards the end of June. I will be trying on my dress soon and look forward to seeing how it fits. The only complaint I have is about the possibility of alterations. I was told that when my dress would come in I would be able to get my dress altered at Henri’s, which I would like because I trust them with my dress. When I got the call about my dress arriving, on voicemail, I was told to make a fitting appointment ASAP in order to look over the dress as well as set up a possible appointment for alterations. After hearing the message that very day, I called immediately to set up my appointment. However, when I called and made the appointment I was told they had no more availability for alterations due to them only having one seamstress on staff. I completely understand the situation but feel like there should have been a window open for me to be able to get my dress altered, especially since I went there to get my dress. Additionally, with this store having so many clients I would think they should have hired more than one seamstress.
As I said, this is my only complaint. With everything else, I do recommend adding Henri’s to your list of bridal dress...
Read morei would leave this place zero stars if i could! i ordered my wedding dress in october 2024, it came in sometime in march. now i do want to say, the salesman that assisted me during the appointment was very friendly and very helpful. he ended up picking out a dress i never would have and that was the dress i chose. no complaints whatsoever on his level of service. however, my measurements in my hips put me between 2 sizes, 10 and 12. due to the shape of the dress we decided to size up to a 12 so it would fit correctly in my hips and i would just have the top taken in. march comes around and no call from henri’s. finally my mother called at the end of the month and they told her that my dress had been there for over a week already, yet no one called to tell me that. i made an appointment to pick it up, and of course, they ordered the wrong size. despite a conversation how we were going to size up to allow room, they ordered a 10. it was tight in the hips and i could not even sit down. now, i understand there was about 6 months in between ordering and receiving and i understand women’s body changes. that was not the case for me, i had actually lost 15 lbs between the appointments and the dress was still tight. after getting the dress home, we called henri’s to advise of the issue and they told us because my mom, who had no idea what size should be ordered, signed that a 10 was to be ordered, there was nothing they could do about it. really? come on! my mom is not an expert in measurements, they had her sign it when i was not around, so naturally, when they said “oh her measurements are a size 10” my mom had no reason to disagree when she signed.
overall, i would not recommend this place. the lack of communication was absolutely terrible. the manager never called my mom back, my mom had to call repeatedly just to get any answers. i will not recommend this place to any friends or family...
