Very disappointed. My wife has been looking for a gazebo for our back yard. I am in and out of this Home Depot all the time. In one of my most recent visits I noticed a gazebo on display that looked exactly like what my wife described. I brought her in later that day and we bought it. It was scheduled to be delivered 05/24/2021 between 6am and 8pm. 8pm rolled around and no delivery and no phone call. I called Home Depot and the IVR responded via my caller ID that the item had not been received. I requested to speak with someone. He advised it should be in tomorrow, then will be scheduled for delivery. I explained I waited 14 hours today with no delivery or call. He didn't respond to that, didn't seem to care. I called the next day and the IVR said my item is in and ready for delivery. I requested to speak with someone again. The lady was very nice and apologetic. She said it appears to be set to deliver tomorrow and asked me to call back to confirm. I called the next morning and spoke with her again. She advised the system now shows it's a seasonable item and no longer available. She is going to notify her supervisor and also check with the supplier. She refunded my credit card and will see if there is a way to reorder the gazebo. I was out of town over the holiday weekend and called Tuesday morning and left a message for her. The next morning I was in Home Depot and the gazebo is still on display. I called again and after the IVR, just got endless ringing. Fi ally got through and apparently the item is simply not available. Still don't understand why this item is on display if not available, how something not available can be ordered, why their level of service is so poor that they have a customer waiting for 14 hours for something to be delivery that they don't even have. The lady I have been speaking with put me on an email tracker for this item so I receive an alert if/when it is in stock. I do...
Read moreThe flooring department at the Mission Viejo Home Depot is abysmal. I had two projects go wrong on almost every turn. Debbie at the Mission Viejo store was very unhelpful. Debbie never answers her phone, I called many times during a full month and not once did she answer and let it go to voice mail. Her voicemail was full for an entire month and she never cleared it. Debbie also was very rude on the phone to both me and my partner multiple times. She even hung up on me a few times. Debbie seemed to never be in office when I tried to get a hold of her. She was always away from her desk not answering her phone. Even when I had to ask to be transferred to Debbie, none of her coworkers knew where she was most of the time.
There were many problems with my carpet installations. The order to cut and remove Vinyl out was not on the order even though I had asked for it (even the measurer knew about this). Carpet Pro's messed up 3 times when trying to install my first carpet. They made 3 different scheduled appointments to install my carpet and kept forgetting to bring the right tools. This pushed out the install date by a full month.
On my 2nd order, the carpet came in with huge stains, they forgot the metal transitions that I ordered during the measuring phase, and the install was pushed out further than expected. I had to once again, deal with Debbie. I never ever want to talk with her again since it is such a pain to deal with poor customer service on top of bad installation services. Now I have to wait even longer for my 2nd bedroom to be carpeted because of the large stains it came with. I have plans to put these rooms together but I just have to keep waiting and waiting. This is the worst service I've ever had when making changes to my home. Go to a different Home Depot if you can. The management at the Mission Viejo location...
Read moreThis is my first 1 star review. I called the Mission Viejo Home Depot to rent a truck and I was told they have one and that he would hold truck for 45 minutes. I was told that I need a drivers license and proof of insurance. No problem, I said we will be there in 30 minutes. We arrived at store and were told to scan a QR code on our phone. Our phones will not scan a QR code. We were told that is ONLY way to rent a truck. WHAT? I can buy a house without scanning a QR code but at this Home Depot you have to scan a QR code to rent a truck?!? Why would you limit customers this way? We are in your system for a military discount but because we cannot scan a QR code we don't have the FREEDOM to rent a truck? I was told I was not the first person whose phone would not scan a QR code! Not everyone has a phone that will scan a QR code! Some people don't carry phones for religious reasons! Why isn't there another way to verify the customer so they are not denied? Apparently this system was implemented 6 days ago and it makes no sense to me. Ironically I was told the Laguna Niguel store does not use this new system and we can go there and rent a truck (but they were out of trucks) which begs the question again; why not allow us to use another method (like the Laguna Niguel store is doing) to rent a truck instead turning us away? I am so upset by this, to not provide another way for us to rent a truck was beyond an inconvenience. Being restricted and denied like this will have me going to other retaliers first for things we need...
