Dining at Pho The Bowl was an exceptional experience from start to finish, earning a well-deserved five stars. The culinary journey began with their aromatic and flavor-rich pho, which was a comforting embrace in a bowl. Each ingredient was fresh, contributing to a symphony of tastes that danced harmoniously with every spoonful. Not to be overshadowed, the variety of dishes offered alongside the pho were equally remarkable, showcasing the depth of Vietnamese cuisine with vibrant flavors and impeccable presentation.
What elevated our dining experience to an unforgettable level was the outstanding service, particularly from our waiter, Tommy. His attentiveness, warmth, and genuine passion for ensuring guests enjoy their meal were evident. Tommy's recommendations were spot-on, enhancing our culinary adventure with his insightful suggestions and knowledge about the menu. His enthusiasm for the food and care for the dining experience made us feel truly welcome and appreciated.
Pho The Bowl not only delivers on exceptional food but also on creating a welcoming atmosphere where every diner feels valued. It's a gem that shines brightly because of its delicious cuisine and the wonderful people like Tommy who make every visit special. I highly recommend Pho The Bowl to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience that will leave a...
Read moreSecond update, 11/2023 Blinds still dirty. Ants in the booth we picked, waiter killed them with his thumb but we chose to move to the other side (it's OC, built on an ant hill right?). But then the waiter say someone else in that booth after us. Fried shrimp came out clumped together. Not so bad until you pull them apart and see uncooked batter in the middle. Egg noodles in the pho were also clumped.
Stars reduced to 1. Hope they get on top of these problems.

Newly refurbished restaurant looks great. The blinds could use some cleaning but otherwise the new tables and chairs are nice. Food has really improved. I would definitely stop by if you're looking for pho. Had the bbq pork pho with a ox tail add on. Very nice!
Our visit was during Covid. The resteraunt has changed ownership. They are renovating the dining area but do have outside tables. Our orders were not great. The pho was packaged up nicely and the hot broth served in a separate container. The wonton egg noodles soup was cold though. The fried shrimp was gummy and not good - it seemed like it was in the take out big to long even though this place is 5 minutes from home. We were eating it like 10 minutes after receiving it. I'd skip the shrimp, the egg noodles wonton soup and consider heating the pho broth before serving if...
Read morePho The Bowl has quickly become one of my go-to spots in Mission Viejo, especially when I need something comforting, fresh, and full of flavor. Whether it’s a chilly day or I’ve been running around with real estate showings, their pho hits every single time.
The broth is rich and aromatic, the portions are generous, and everything always tastes incredibly fresh. My favorite is the brisket pho with extra lime and Thai basil—but honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Their vermicelli bowls and spring rolls are also delicious and super satisfying if you’re in the mood for something lighter.
The service is always friendly, and the restaurant is clean, casual, and easy to get in and out of, even during lunch hours. It’s a family-owned feel with consistent quality—and as someone who values consistency (especially in the middle of a busy day), I appreciate that so much.
If you’re in South OC and craving Vietnamese comfort food done right, Pho The Bowl is 100% worth the visit.
