I’m giving this place a 3 for the solely reason of one of their employees. His name is Henry, at the register. Not for the food, or the quality of their food. I paid $24 for the Cali salad. “Roasted corn” I asked if I could make my chicken little more spicy, and warm Henry, with THE best attitude helped me said yes. I got charged extra for the spicy chicken 🍗! So now my salad was almost $25 for a salad at a food court. Little expensive, but sure. Whatever! Got my salad, corn is out of a can. Pale, nothing roasted about it. So I went and unfortunately told He Ty I was not happy with my order. He grabbed the “manager” seems like it. Did. Not say anything, and just almost whispered, just give him whatever he wants. No explanation, no apologies, just left Henry, to talk to me. I know it was not Henrys fault. So I acknowledge that with him. And said I know is not your fault. Several times. He suggested something else, and it was almost like a burrito. With the same Ingredients from my original order. All the “kitchen manager did” was warm up the same ingredients inside a tortilla. Same plain corn, same everything. Which was very disappointing. Keep in mind I was working, and wasted almost 40 min from my lunch time. I ate the food because I was really hungry. But at the end I told Henry he saved the bad review, because he was very nice and attentive. He even asked me how was everything. If it wasn’t because of Henry. I would have given you a 0 but unfortunately 1 star is the lowest we can rate you on. So, thank you, Henry! For your great service. It was not...
Read moreDizzy Bird is a fast-food style joint for poultry-lovers with a Mediterranean flair. Specializing in rotisserie chicken, they've got wraps and plates with customizable sides. The line can get long, and there's not too much seating, but things move quickly! Pro tip that they have at least one self-service screen you can order from (many folks kept missing it).
And the verdict on the chicken? Finger lickin' good!
The chicken is tender and juicy, whether on the plate or in the wrap. But for me, the wraps are the highlight here. For under $15, you get a ton of meat, and a hearty filling of pickled, creamy, and smokey flavors. The Hot Bird wrap had all the bold notes you'd expect and the wrap itself was both delicate and crispy - such a satisfying meal by itself.
As for the plate, the chicken is cooked nicely and the lemony garlic flavors are delicious. The sides are good but not mind blowing. Lemon garlic potatoes (pretty good flavor and cook) and a pasta salad (a bit on the bland side).
Sides aside, Dizzy Bird dishes out great poultry for those wanting a garlicky protein fix in a fast casual setting. And the wraps are such a great grab and go item to enjoy on the way to shopping. A nice addition to...
Read moreI didn’t know what this place was the first few times I passed by, but decided to finally give it a shot. And I have to say that I was more than pleasantly surprised when I realized that this is actually a Lebanese restaurant in disguise.
I say in disguise because the cultural heritage of the food is not advertised, instead it’s advertised as a rotisserie chicken spot. But chicken grilled flat, and pita wraps with toum and pickles is a staple Lebanese dish iykyk. But I digress.
Overall The food was great, first time I got the plate, second time I got the pita wrap. Chicken was fantastically seasoned and moist, ingredients are of great quality, seasoning and flavors on both entrees and sides are consistent with what I would expect of a Lebanese dish. It’s authentic, but it’s simple and can be an enjoyed by all walks.
Give it a shot, it hit my tastebuds and my nostalgia just right. Can’t get Lebanese food that tastes right very often, especially south of Anaheim. So...
