Did not catch her name but she is an old gal there at the self checkout who is pretty dang great at her job! Some customers were being rude to her prior to helping me and I had an on sale item that was not properly marked in the system, so it came up as full price. I was dealing with my own issues and did not realize that I should have warned her prior to setting up the sale in the machine that it was EBT, because the incident with other customers treating her badly just before coming up to me; so the transaction did not go through. There were several other customers waiting and agitated, I believe it was the night before or the day before a holiday.
I said to her, "Don't worry, I really do appreciate you, I understand how it is, and it is not ok even if you're disgruntled", "something similar to that", and she said, "thank you, it hurts, sucks, and I don't want to do it anymore", now I could tell she was the type of person that keeps it in and becomes hardened by it, and gets her job done, she is tough. She would not normally say that to a customer but they were being exceptionally rude.
I told her I would just take back the Halloween gingerbread house and not to cause anymore trouble but she went out of her way to recode the entire transaction and enter the sale so that I could get it and do it with my son (little did she know), I said I truly did appreciate her, and she said I am glad someone does.
I had to say something because she is one reason I still come back to Rosauers. Rosauers is out of my way, I sometimes stop in when I am near my storage unit.
I wish I could have gotten her name but if she ever sees this, thank you.
Also the food is always fresh, handmade, and bomb!!!! Come...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnimpressed on four counts. Most grocers don't have what are most important for the customer. They all wreak of advertising and taking your money without the consumer in mind. The deli served me a cabbage roll with spam tasting meat, it came on a big styrofoam plate, and the sides were so globby I could walk with it and it wouldn't fall off a tipping plate. Customer service should air on the side of friendly- instead of police- and the managers have both offered run-ins at my request for help. It is unpleasant to make extra trips to return outdated products to the store that made me pay for. I forgot to bring the product in and Management recited policy without empathy. They were firm that I had to have the receipt and product in hand. The last thing anyone wants to have to do is hold a bad food product and receipt near the door for errands, in order to go back to the grocery store and that they took your money for. Stores should accommodate for the time and hassle it takes to do this when pricing the inventory- customers would have to return or eat the cost. Them spread the savings throughout the store. Awhile back, I wanted to put a small sign advertising homecare near the handicap signs and they confronted me in the parking lot and explained that they don't have concerns for the local public and were headquartered from Spokane, who makes the particular policy. We don't have a lot of grocers to choose from and they use monopolies for extra $$. I appreciate the size of inventory that Rosauer's has and once in a while will go out of my way to have a shop there. But these qualities don't outweigh the poor customer service and value, for us, of the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love LOVE Rosauers.. there is a comfortable relaxing environment to shop. Especially if you have a hyperactive four year old who wants everything. People aren't shoving each other through aisles, running each other over in the parking lot, and most of the employees are very kind and approachable. However, I went into the bakery this morning and then toddled over to the deli to get some to cravens coffee for a good start to my morning. I approached the counter and spoke with a lady named Liz and politely asked for something strong and plain. She replied by saying 'there's coffee over, there help yourself!' with a very unpleasant look on her face. I practically stared back at her in shock. As I felt my blood pressure rising, I contained my desire to retort her attitude and simply stated I would like something freshly made and asked her if they made fresh coffee. She scoffed- 'well of course!' **Meanwhile my curious son approached her peeking around the counter and she snapped 'you can't be back here unless you are eighteen!' I don't know about anyone else but I am a firm believer in customer service. It goes the same that you should have respect for yourself and others and you will receive the same. I don't know if Liz dislikes her job or has personal issues she decided to bring to work today but frankly, Rosauers doesn't need people like her creating a bad name for our favorite local grocer. Please someone find this lady counseling or a new job so she doesn't continue to affect people...
