Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #875 — Local services in Mitchell

We took a long trip out to western South Dakota, Yellowstone and back with family. This was our first stop on day 1 of our trip. As a member, I have never found a bad Moose lodge and specifically stopped at this one because they had RV parking. I am a member (though not specifically at this lodge), my brother is not a Moose member, so he came in with me as a guest with his family for dinner and later he and I had a few drinks in the social area. Afterward, we went back to our RVs to catch some sleep before heading out the next morning.

Everyone at this lodge was extremely friendly, accommodating and just a great start to a 3000 mile round trip vacation. I would strongly suggest becoming a Moose member for all the good the .org does overall, but a special shout out to this lodge for its hospitality to a member not...

I was set to have my wedding there on the 19th of dec. I was planning on paying everything in full a month prior to my wedding. They call me the morning that i was coming to pay that they are shutting down because of covid. I understood and went and found somewhere else to have my reception. I live close to the moose and they have not closed. They still serve breakfast on sundays. There is always a ton of cars there. I see events still happening there all the time. All of my guests were instructed to wear masks. Im not sure on the reason they lied. But if you are looking to have an event I suggest you dont book with these people. The staff are VERY friendly and down to earth and drink prices are unbeatable! But, for any events requiring a PA or sound system, plan on bringing or renting your own equipment. The microphone and speaker setup are decades old and offer no inputs for laptops or tablets. No TV or projector is provided either. The speakers cut in and out and most of them sound blown. The lighting is also very harsh for anyone sensitive to fluorescent lights. This place needs a light remodel and it could be a great venue once again.
