I just wanted to take a few minutes to rate my recent experience at Vern Eide Chevy Buick GMC in Mitchell, SD. As you can see I gave it 5 stars, which I never do. I usually rate 4 stars when I am impressed.

This was a very smooth process from beginning to end. More specifically I would like give high praise to my salesman, Wyatt. Not only was he extremely genuine, but also a true professional. He answered any questions that I had about the truck and the financing. He addressed any of my concerns with an expert response. His knowledge and experience in auto sales was far superior to that of the salesman that I encountered at other dealerships across the Midwest. His approach is quite relaxed and there was no pressure from him at all. After doing my homework and shopping around I knew the deal that I needed to make things work for me. At no time did I have to wheel and deal to get the deal that worked for me. He found a way to make the financing work better for me even though I came in with a really good offer from capital one.

Not only did I get to leave Vern Eide with the truck that I went there to buy, but I also left knowing that they did their absolute best to make sure I was taken care of. Thank you Wyatt.

I live 2 hours away from Vern Eide Chevy. I found the truck online, and contacted the dealership online. I didn’t feel at a disadvantage because I was so far away. I was taken care of just the same as if I lived in Mitchell, SD. Wyatt took a video of the truck and sent me additional photos of the truck to I could do most of the deciding through photos. Their online auto check from Experian allowed me to look at all of the vehicle history and make sure the truck was a good fit for me. My husband and I were on our way home to Indiana from our vacation in Yellowstone National Park when we hit a deer on I90 near Mitchell, SD. The accident totaled our car and left us with a 12+ hour drive remaining with no transportation. Insurance covered the expense of a rental car, but the closest business was in Sioux Falls, SD, which was 78 miles away. However, our "good neighbor" insurance did not offer a plan to get us to Sioux Falls. We were on our own, still 700 miles away from home and knowing no one and having no information except for the place where the car was towed - Vern Eide Chevrolet.

We called the dealership and talked to Lori to ask about using a loaner car to drive to Sioux Falls. At that point, our option was to use a "loaner" car from Vern Eide to drive to Sioux Falls (78 miles), pick up the rental car, drive back to Vern Eide (78 miles) and then head back to Indiana.

Lori came to our rescue and not only found a truck to take us to Sioux Falls, but also a driver so that we would not have to make more than one trip back and forth. Julie (our driver) picked us up at the hotel, took us to the dealership so that we could gather our stuff from the wrecked car and got us safety to the rental car agency.

I could not have asked or expected a kinder or more generous group of people to help us during the process. Lori and Julie didn't know us at all and had nothing to gain from their efforts, except our gratitude. And, as if the dealership wasn't doing enough for us, they would not charge us for the transportation. The people at Vern Eide took care of us with the compassion and consideration that continues to amaze and impress me. Had it not been for them, I'm not sure how we would have made it to Sioux Falls. (Julie even stayed with us at the rental agency and helped unload all our cargo, including our two bicycles. She is a super-woman and my new hero.)

Lori and Julie were a Godsend in the midst of a very stressful situation. Each lady was so personable and kind and they took care of us as if we were family. If the people at Vern Eide treat strangers in this manner, I can only imagine how they take care of their customers. If I lived in the area, I wouldn't buy a car anywhere else. I would be an absolutely committed customer of Vern Eide.

Staff was friendly, and facility was nice. I did the Kelly Blue Book Instant Cash Offer on a car that I no longer needed and was looking to sell. Verne Eide called me and wanted a time for me to have them look at it. When I brought it in, Verne Eide offered me $1200 less than the KBB Instant Cash Offer and did not suggest that I miss-represented the car. If I had to guess, Verne Eide was just not interested in my car, but they could have saved everyone some time and just been honest with me before I had to drive 50 miles to bring it in. I also feel like they are harming the Instant Cash Offer program as they are not following the requirements set out for them by KBB.
