So doing a trip out west we were looking for a place off the beaten path. Zesto seemed to fit the bill with the great reviews.

it's a small hole on the wall and looked quite promising as we pulled up. The menu is full with various options for even our picky eater. however, the real downside is the teenagers taking orders and making the food. The first burger that caught my eye was the pizza burger. no detail on the menu so:

me: what's on the pizza burger? him: lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, ketchup, mustard. me: so what's "pizza" about it? him: i dunno.

i mean really?!?!

i ended up ordering a traditional burger and fries. it was good, but no better than your average fast food chain restaurant. we would have stayed for the desserts, but after dealing with the clueless staff thought better of it.

i guess it's a small town in South Dakota so you can't really expect that much from the teenagers. but come on. if you're local and have the patience you might be able to learn the menu and what's good. if not, stick to the consistent chains so you know what you're getting. can't really recommend this place even though i really wanted to.
