So yesterday my husband was taking a nap so I ran to the store real fast for a few items I bought just a couple items and so I took the carry basket to unload at my car & I was the first car outside of the door of the store I was already 3/4 across the 2 way driveway in front of the store an about 20' from my car when Isaac from the store approached me more like yelling at me ma'am you can't take the basket out of the store. So since I was already 100+ feet away from the store and less than 20 feet away from my car I said oh my bad that's my car right there the first car I will unload it and I will walk it right back in he continues to yell at me ma'am come back with the basket at this point I'm practically at my car I said hold on I will bring it right back in he says you need to get a cart and he starts grabbing a cart and coming towards me now I only have about four items in my basket but they're bigger items. So I said I'm basicaly at my car hold on he says will you f* listen to me and get a f* cart and I continue to walk to my car since I'm basically at it he says you don't f*** listen do you so at this point I decide to ignore him since he keeps saying f to me I unlock my car and as I get ready to open my backdoor he gently takes the grocery cart and pushed it up against my back and I ignored him and kind of pushed it back with my butt and dropped my groceries into my car I turn around planning on taking the basket back in myself. And he says you don't f* listen do you since I'm trying to not lose my s*** on this kid I just listened he continues to say were you invited to come to the store to shop did someone call you and ask you to come to the store to shop I didn't think so so if you can't follow the f* rules then don't come here at this point I look at him and say okay Isaac I will take care of you now since he already gently hit me with a grocery cart I decided to sit the basket on the ground just so that he wouldn't pull it out of my hands And i then turned an locked my car as I proceeded to turn around and walk back to the store he runs up to another younger associate standing in front of the store and proceeded to say you see that s* did you hear that s* and both of them proceed to start laughing and turned around staring at me and they would not move so that I can get into the store even after saying excuse me several times so I finally just went sideways and kind of just went between them then Isaac follows me into the store laughing and disappears down an aisle. As I'm waiting there for a manager the girl comes past me shaking your head laughing I say excuse me can I get your name she looks at me and sighs heavily and shakes her head and keeps walking within a few seconds later she's coming back my way I continue to say can I get your name please she won't answer me I say again can I get your name please finally the third time I said it loud enough so that everybody in the store could hear me then she turns around and says it's Isabelle but I don't know why you would need it then continues to shake her head and laugh and walk outside. Shortly after the manager finally shows up and I tell him the story he completely is floored and apologizes but as I'm talking to him about 30 feet from us is the exit he has his back to it I see Isabelle again shaking your head laughing staring at me and waving her hand at me to like shoo me out the door so of course I told the manager Andy what she was doing he said he was sorry and that he would speak to both of them and get to the bottom it. This was the Cost Less on Yosemite. All I can say is they're so lucky my husband...
Read moreDear Costless ( including all employees), I used to be homeless. I received food stamps, but I lived at the river. Food doesn't keep the way it would in a fridge. Trying to budget for food on $200, doesn't get you very far. I am.not someone who would buy chips, soda or candy. I bought pasta, beans, rice, peanut butter and jelly was the junkiest I got. Money never goes as far as I needed it to. However, thanks to your store, me and the.11 other people and all of our dogs ate very well, at times. I came from money, I never imagined myself digging through a dumpster for food. It wasn't that bad, though. It was as if your people knew this food would go a long way, ( we were not the only ones eating out of your dumpster) and you would bag the food separately from the trash. I honestly want to thank you for that, because it gave a tiny bit of dignity to us, in a world where we would quickly be stripped of that dignity, the moment police showed up and arrested us for pulling food out of the dumpster. I can't tell you how I would throw together a huge pot of chicken, chili Verde with everything I brought back with me. It fed all of us plus on the river, that time, for two days. Before I knew about the dumpster, I was sitting there looking at your store. I had not eaten in two days and I didn't get my stamps for another 2 days. I thought about stealing food. I'm not a thief, but I was that hungry. Instead, I went into the store, smelling of camp fire. I tried to make myself as presentable as possible , before I talked to your manager. I explained my current situation and included the part about thoughts of stealing. The manager listened to me as if these words were the most important words he heard that day. Then, he told me to go get what I needed. I came back in 2 days to pay for the bread, peanut butter , jelly and water I took. He told me not to worry about it. That he paid my bill. Then, he thanked me for not stealing and for making the right choice. As hard as it was for me to do, it was the right choice. So, thank you cost less. I have an idea..... You should have a bin or shelf where people can donate food that they just bought from your store. Then, if anyone else wanders in...
Read moreConsistent store, employees are friendly. Prices are fair. The meat department is where i find the most consistent sales for savings. Other products are fair market prices. This particular location gets very busy at times and only one of two complaints. At times it seems there are not enough checkers and have stood in lines, stretching down the isles. This is not always the case, but often enough to mention. Part of the problem is this location being the only grocer in the general vacinity. Worth noting that i dont save much more than shopping at competitor markets that have many more check out lanes open. I shop here out of convenience of the location. The store is always clean, however, ive been in a few dozen times, during the summer months, when gnats were heavily present on the produce. I shop elsewhere for fresh produce when this is the case. Otherwise this is not a bad place to shop, but not so accurate as the name suggests. With comparative prices, I often go to other grocers that offer more employees, in number, for quicker checkout and availability for assistance. Also I have never seen gnat problems in the produce dept. at these other grocery stores, which are only another 5-6 miles away. These comments are meant for store improvement suggestions and not meant to be negative or impact anyone negatively from shopping here. This is still a good option if you live nearby. I do my best to give unbiased, fair, accurate reviews, for possible improvement in businesses, that results in a better experience for customers and a higher customer base that results in a higher sales rate for...
