I am extremely disappointed in the owner of this company. When we were furniture shopping last December we checked out a lot of furniture stores in Modesto. We chose the furniture market because their customer service was great, they were extremely friendly while trying to get us to spend our money. We purchased a couch and it was delivered a few weeks later in early January. While the delivery men were here we noticed a tear on one of the back panels, the delivery man called the store and we were given two options. They said they could take that half of the couch back and have it fixed or leave it and have somebody come out and fix it. We did not want to be left with half a couch so we had them order the parts and send someone out. The gentleman came out and replace the panel and push the couch back against the wall where it was. We have not even thought to look back there because we assumed their quality of work would be good. A couple of weeks ago we decided to move the furniture, we quickly notice that the panel that he replaced was lifting and all of the tax on one side were sticking out. Thank goodness there wasn't room for anybody to walk behind the couch and sliced himself open on them. I called and spoke with Karen who asked me to email her the pictures which I did. She responded to me that we were a few weeks out of warranty and it would not be covered I asked to speak to the owner. I have tried to reach him for over a week but conveniently he was never there when I called. I called again today and asked for a call back which he did. When I questioned why they would not come out and simply put the tack strips back in where their service man obviously didn't install them correctly he proceeded to blame me for the tack strips. I am NOT asking for a new couch. I am NOT asking for money. I am simply asking for him to take pride in his employees and have somebody fix their mistake. No other part of this couch is damaged, no other section is lifting, common sense would imply it was installed improperly. But unfortunately this company cares nothing about its customers one year and 1 minute after the warranty. He tried making excuses. It was sad to listen to. Read moreKindness to a dying woman. Long review I was recently diagnosed with with LMS which is a terminal cancer. I have been searching all over for a recliner that would assist you standing up because you start having mobility issues. My husband and I had been shopping all day with no luck trying to find something in our price range that would be delivered that same day. We walked in to Furniture Market And was immediately greeted with kindness. They only had one stand assist recliner with lumbar support which was what I needed, but they were waiting for a part for it.. So instead they offer to call around to save my husband and I the extra gas it would cost us to drive around looking for somebody who had a stand assist recliner with lumbar support. Nobody else in the area had it and so we thanked them kindly. We got to talk and they asked us why we needed it so quickly And my husband told them that since my diagnosis I have not been able to sleep for 2 Months since my diagnosis.. And that having this chair would this chair would enable me to actually get some sleep, so I could heal my body somewhat. The sales lady walked back and spoke to a gentleman by the name of Francis and it happens that the part had just come in for that stand assis that statistics recliner with the lumbar support. He proceeded to walk over Put the part in and it and it worked. He then proceeded to ask us how far away we lived from the shop. We live not very far away less than 6 miles. He offered to deliver it that same night within the next 2 hours to our home. Turns out Francis was the owner, and not 2 hours later after we made the purchase, he showed up in his personal truck with the recliner sitting on the back of his truck bed, and for the 1st time in 2 months I actually got some sleep. This experience has definitely restored my faith in humanity. There are great people still around, and the people at Furniture Market are these people. I would highly recommend anybody looking for A good quality recliner go to this store, they are experienced, compassionate and just overall decent people. Read moreI went here ready to buy a living room, dining room and bedroom set. Ready to pay cash! After looking around for a couple minutes a guy comes up and starts showing me there selection and what he thinks I would be interested in. He's a little pushy but I just go with it. When I tell him how much stuff I need he says ha thinks we can work something out and that he won't negotiate the pricing because they have no hassle pricing but he can probably deduct tax and delivery fee's. I pick out the things I want but he leaves to go tend to something else so. So I go add up what everything is going to cost and I'm okay with it. He's still busy but a couple sales lady's start talking to me. I ask about the pricing and they confirm the no hassle pricing. Again I'm okay with that but I let them know that I just wanted to find out about the tax and delivery cost before I pay. The guy is still busy putting a table together so I let him know I'm going to step outside and make a phone call and we'll get everything taken care of when he's done. Next thing I know, he sticks his head out the door and tells me to go someplace else!!! I don't know if there was some mis-communication or what between the sales lady and him or what while I was outside but for him to stick his head out the door BEFORE I even came back in, which I was ready to pay I just needed to know what the cost was going to be, had to be one of the most unprofessional experiences I've ever had!!! The guy had my business!!! I just wanted to know if I was paying tax and delivery or not. He acts like he's doing me a favor by selling me his product... how pathetic for a sales person and business man to act that way!!! I wouldn't by a bag of popcorn from this guy or place and think he has no business being in business!!! I left there and went to Hansens and was treated like a king by Joe and Matt!!!
