Shop local! When you go to a chain store to save a buck on a bag of feed, you're missing out on so much. Those folks won't load heavy things into your car for you, and in my experience they often aren't gardeners or farmers and can't give you any meaningful advice.

At Benedict's you will get all that and more: staff who knows what they're talking about and who will help you in every way they can. I've seen one of the owners spend 15 minutes teaching a customer how to properly prune and fertilize her apple tree, knowing she was going to spend only about $10 at the register.

The garden center is amazing; get your flowers and organic plants there all year long, complete with gardening advice from their pros. This time of year, of course, there are Halloween decorations, the corn pit, the maize maze and other fun games. The outdoor petting zoo all year long is so fun for kids and includes pigs, goats, peacocks, chickens and ducks. Feed them...

We are long time loyal customers for animal feed and love visiting the animals and the Fall activities, but were completely disgusted at the handling of the chickens today. We witnessed and notified multiple staff members of chickens attacking another one in an area open to the public where multiple families with young children were present. The scene was very bloody and traumatizing for any animal lover. It took complaints from multiple families before the staff members actually did anything. And when the man finally did help, he aggressively removed the injured chicken, seeming angry he had to even intervene, with no regard to the horrified families watching. We understand animal management and that chickens will often engage in this behavior, but if you are going to leave your chickens in overcrowded pens and in view to the public, including children, you really have to do better. Have some respect for your animals...

I am 12 and this is my favorite store! No not a clothing store a farm supply store! They always have toys and supplies for my pets(I have a dog, 2 cats, a pony and 5 chickens). I have bought a halter for my pony here and over a year later it is still in very good condition and fits her perfectly! They have lots of games which my little brother loves such as a corn maze, corn pit, duck races and a hay pile! I love their large selection of Schleich horses, although they don’t always have the exact one I want (I have over 50 and expect this), they always mange to make me happy with another cute toy!! They have great prices on the horses as some are “retired” by Schleich and are no longer manufactured, they still selll the retired ones for the regular price which is also less than most other stores!!!❤️❤️ The store workers are always nice and...
